NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Banning music has literally never worked. This won't do shyt.
Majority of the people on this site don’t know the history of anything. Lol. And while they at it, let’s go with movies, video games, etc etc. Let’s take it all away. And see what happens,

People want to be entertained by these public figures. That's why they voted those two idiots above.

They aren't entertainers though. They are leaders in positions of power. If NBA Youngboy raps about catching bodies, he's merely making a song. The music stops. Trump made the statement and won an election. Look at his entire presidency and it's marred in violence and especially towards us. He sicked the national guard on protestors during marches on Washington. Then he went and rallied rioters to storm the U.S. Capitol. Look at Kemp's policies in regard to gun control and look at the crime in Atlanta specifically murder.

This is great news but at this point it won't have too much of an effect short term. The effect will have to be long term.

The worms have been let out the can. The normalization of black death & destruction is too large apart of black culture now.
We are literally ENTERTAINED by our own genocide.

If this was tried in the U.S, the biggest pushback would come from black people.

Also, it would never be tried in the first place because rap music is a literal tool being used to help fill up prisons:

Too many people profit from black death and destruction.

How does this protect the youth?

Because music and its content influences the youth, so curating its content is one of multiple ways needed to protect the youth. let’s not act dense.

Jamaica rightfully recognized and acknowledged the influence of music on the youth and made the right decision to enforce the absence of problematic content on its airwaves.

You think a drug addict would’ve never tried drugs if he never heard future?

Do y’all live in the real world?

There’s no nuance In thinking if there was no future than someone wouldn’t have done drugs

When people talk about wanting this ban, they aren't being realistic. Hypothetically speaking, it wouldn't stop with current Hip Hop. It would go all the way back to the 90's and even the '80's and a lot of our favorite artists, including the greats, would catch the ban too. And not only that, when people talk about the music destroying the youth, it's a hypocritical stance as I'm sure it's artists that they champion that have music that promote drug use and violence.

Meanwhile this country is passing laws to protect crime in the music which enables the youth even more :francis: Seems like we’re going backwards but this is what fans want which is violence in the music while not really living that lifestyle.
So u should be cool with violent movies getting banned as well?
