The Truth
No one is getting bothered by MMA fighters losing to boxers in boxing matches. The most elite of elite MMA strikers would get worked by mid-tier boxers in a boxing match. It's the leap from that to thinking that boxers would beat MMA fighters in anything else that is puzzling. Point karate, kickboxing, muay thai, wrestling, jujitsu, judo, grappling, OR a street fight, the MMA guy is going to beat the boxer in most scenarios if we're talking about fighters of equivalent levels in their professions. The thing boxers definitively beat MMA fighters in is getting paid.

But we all know this deep down, just some people like to troll MMA fans.
MMA fighters have proven time and time again that this is not true :mjlol:

That was a formal match. Not a street fight. It’s a predictable, controlled environment. The street is unpredictable, fast moving and unforgiving

Why do you cats who don’t follow the sport even comment on it lol?

I think it proves that even an amatuer boxer can beat an mma fighter in a boxing match.

Doesn't MMA include stand up fighting? This dude was wrestler, but he should've still had more striking training than the youtuber over his career.
MMA fighters list all these martial arts they mastered all the time and some of them should be similar enough to allow them to be competent in a boxing match. look at muay thai stances vs boxing ones for example

if you study kickboxing for 20 years you can't regular box at least as good as a dude who has only been boxing for a few years? Makes me wonder why they even study any other techniques, should just master boxing and wrestling and you would be ready vs anyone. No need for any type of kick training

I can tell you haven’t boxed or trained in other styles lol.

Boxing is harder to learn and very few people can be truly elite at it.

MMA allows you to fight in a way that plays to your strengths and gives more versatility.

An elite boxer can become a great MMA fighter if they spend years working on TDD and developing a solid grappling base. A great MMA fighter won't become a great boxer because if they could have.....they probably would have.
