I think it proves that even an amatuer boxer can beat an mma fighter in a boxing match.

Doesn't MMA include stand up fighting? This dude was wrestler, but he should've still had more striking training than the youtuber over his career.
MMA fighters list all these martial arts they mastered all the time and some of them should be similar enough to allow them to be competent in a boxing match. look at muay thai stances vs boxing ones for example

if you study kickboxing for 20 years you can't regular box at least as good as a dude who has only been boxing for a few years? Makes me wonder why they even study any other techniques, should just master boxing and wrestling and you would be ready vs anyone. No need for any type of kick training

They all have kickboxing backgrounds whilst competing in boxing it didn’t ruin their stances
See i need one these boxers/mma fighters to challenge them. Instead of always sending a wrestler to box, or a boxer to wrestle.

Sidenote: I always felt like Kimbo fukked up going into MMA instead of boxing.

Askren has always been a very sub par striker, even for MMA.

Ben Askren is an Olympic wrestler, at One championship and other leagues he was able to near fully rely on that to dominate and go undefeated. He is far more used to striking while on the ground vs standing up, he didn't hone that aspect like that. He got exposed and was passed his prime by the time he was in the UFC going against truly elite MMA strikers. And in the Demian Maia fight he went against a jiu jitsu phenom and got smothered.

Now mfs put him in a sport in which you stand up all the time and can only strike like 4 different ways lmfao. Of course Jake Paul was going to beat him.

Y’all keep thinking that. When You catch that head kick, or try to get inside and catch a sharp as elbow you’ll learn. And don’t let one of the wrestling nikkas drop you in your neck lol
