Abrams? Really? What, was Shayamalan's quote too high?

@BrowncoatPony
@the_moviebob He does bring a certain flare

‏@nabohs Who knows? Maybe he will make ANOTHER non-cannon parallel world where Kirk and Jar Jar team up to defeat Dooku & Kahn

oh shut up...:what:

:stopitslime:

They really shouldn't. Luke's saga is done. He defeated Vader, The Empire, and et cetera. What more could they possibly squeeze out of it? Watch Luke file paperwork at the Jedi Academy? :shaq2:

And that's all I'm saying. Luke's stuff is done, they don't need to try and beat that horse. They should branch out, with the Jedi Academy actually being a good starting point. They can try for a spinoff movie with a very good role character like Boba Fett (who WOULDN'T wanna see bounty hunting at it's Star Wars finest) to test the waters with the new directors and such.

who said it had to be about Luke? Who said that the main story line was EVER about Luke? It wasn't.

Trust me, nothing is going on that screen unless Lucas sees it 1st, as long as he's alive he will always have one hand in what's going on with Star Wars.

Disney paid billions for that shyt, I think they could give a fukk wut Lucas wants on the screen going forward

if one of the main characters didn't have a lightsaber in the first movie out. People would shyt a brick, movie would bomb.

That's something they're gonna do after their big opening number, they're already talkin about spin offs in the star wars universe

That would be a good thing to do if your objective was to bomb as fast as possible. First things first, the force and lightsabers have to be at the forefront of any future Star Wars movie. Thats what puts asses in seats. Sure a Boba Fett story may seem cool to true fans but the masses arent showing up to see a movie about a pistol toting bounty hunter. They can make a movie like that without the Star Wars license if they wanted to.

Exactly. Lucas can't have his cake and eat it too.

The advisory credit is more just a respectful nod to the creator. Lucas himself said he doesn't want to be that involved.

Kinda wanted Matthew Vaughn to give a go. I know he was close in the mix and he's better director than some people give him credit for.
