This is has the potential to be good. JJ did a damn good job with that last Star Trek and the new one looks crazy. They picked the right person...As long as Lucas doesn't have shyt to do with it, its going to be good....Jar Jar fukking Binks...:pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:

Lucas is retired but it's his baby, he will always have a watchful eye on it. He came up with the 7,8 and 9 Trilogy treatment, he still getting "Story & Creator" credit on the new movies. Trust me, nothing is going on that screen unless Lucas sees it 1st, as long as he's alive he will always have one hand in what's going on with Star Wars. But technically speaking, he's officially retired. Star Trek fans are upset on twitter. I looked at the full history of Star Trek movies and the max a director has done is two films.

That's what makes the Star Trek films unique is they always bring in different directors after a few films. Also it's clear Abrams loves Star Wars more cause he used the Star Wars blueprint to revive Star Trek. I think this was the right choice. They needed a Big Name to carry the weight of the franchise. Can't wait to see "Star Trek Into Darkness" this summer, he really did a great job on the Trek movies, I hope he can do the same with Star Wars. I actually hope he does the entire trilogy.

We can only wish. But I'm still against Lucas touching anything creatively in the next Star Wars. He wrote the story but he needs to stay away from the director's chair. Ankin Skywalker in episodes 1-3 was HORRIBLE. Came off as a crybaby bytch more than 75% of the time. Star Trek fans need to hush up and be happy they are getting another dope movie. That last Star Trek movie was so damn good I didn't expect it at all! I'm a Star Trek fan but I rather see a new Star Trek tv series than another movie. Or a spin off the movie to tv. A JJ Abrams Star Wars!?!? Everyone should be happy about this.
