He’s improved but he’s as corny now as he was back then with even less substance.

He doesn’t rap about anything. I understand this lil Wayne generation of brain dead rap listeners are impressed with punch lines and flow but to call this kid better than Kendrick is insane.

The first verse from “Mr Morale” or even “count me out” off his last album is better than anything j Cole has dropped

Like i said, there’s advanced listeners and then there’s the rap for dummies group
So much 🧢

You clearly aren't listening to Cole. Stop talking about his music. You're spewing ignorance.

I like all the debate over TPAB but haven't seen anyone defend Mr Morale :pachaha:

One of my fave songs on the album is “Mr Morale” :wow:

Uzzi, your father's in deep meditation
My spirit's awakened, my brain is asleep
I got a new temperature
Sharpenin' multiple swords in the faith I believe
I think about Robert Kelly
If he weren't molested, I wonder if life'll fail him
I wonder if Oprah found closure
The way that she postered the hurt that a woman carries
My mother abused young
Like all of the mothers back where we from
SSI bury family members
At the repass, they servin' Popeyes chicken
What you know about Black trauma?
F&N's kickin' back is another genre
Tyler Perry, the face of a thousand rappers
Using violence to cover what really happen
I know somebody's listenin'
Past life regressions to know my conditions
It's based off experience
Comma for comma, my habits insensitive
Watchin' my cousin struggle with addiction
Then watchin' her firstborn make a million
And both of them off the grid for forgiveness
I'm sacrificin' myself to start the healin' and

I know this shyt is probably boring to yall. Not enough “shyt” punchlines :russ:

Yeah! Peep him on "Sweet".

He was yelling at Drake the whole record, lol.

Kendrick's only had one album since DAMN, and I think he's still better than Cole since. We can't cut dude's whole catalogue out, and start at the last album to make someone else look better. LOL!! Even on his wack days though, I still f*ck with his music over Cole's.

Just say you don’t fukk with Cole and stop acting like you’re a fan of both and unbiased which is clearly not the case.

I’ll defend Mr Morale right now.
I have a lot of friends and colleagues who’ve been through some wildly traumatic events who have undergone and continue to undergo vast amounts of therapy.
A lot of them have told me that Mr Morale speaks to them and moves them in a way no other music, book, movie or any other type of art ever has.
The younger generation is also far more into mental health and therapy. This album will age extremely well.

Agreed.

Count me out is an anthem, and I have video of it when he came to Philly to perform the crowd went crazy

cole doesn’t have one song as good as that in the past five years.

Not saying this is wack but it just isn’t appealing to me sonically. I hate that beat and flow in the first half

He said “he averaging one hot verse every 30 months or something” :russ:

Tha Land
Drake=Record sales
Cole=Hard Beats and Rhymes
Kendrick=Impactful lyrics

This beef will never be settled cause fans of each will act like the thing each of them does best, is the only thing that matters. :yeshrug:
