Do you think Dilla produced Got Till it's gone for Janet Jackson?

i have hated House Shoes since the day I read that shyt. I remember years ago when it happened. So what his mother is pimping his music out.. It's her son and there are bills to pay. I'm glad he got the shyt slapped out of him. I hadn't known that part haha. I hate that Herm's donut shop had to be closed down. Herm is a cool dude. I haven't talked to him in years. I got his number from that show and I haven't spoken to him in a while. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I don't like that the author put out personal business about the abortions and domestic violence.

Facts I think he was on some real bullshyt with how he was moving. As for Herm that's also a sad story man.

yeah but Dilla took Pete and Tip's style though haha. If that part in the book is true about Dilla's brother Illa J just leaving his MPC 3000 in a storage unit, he's a real piece of shyt too. That is a priceless prized possession and he almost lost it.

DIlla's talked about Got Til It's Gone before. Him and Tip made one version, then Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis basically copied that but put their own spin on it. And then that's why Dilla put out his own remix and called it "Jay Dee's Revenge" lol

I hear you, he got the right to not want to work with someone but if I was in his shoes I would take it on just to challenge myself and to get the bag too. I'm sure they would have paid a lot of bread.

it probably wouldnt have been very challenging working with some bubblegum pop group. he prolly woulda gave Jay some heat. but early late 90's-early 00's jay seems like the epitome of the MC breh was not trying to work with.

I finished the book, its dope. its crazy thats its been almost 20yrs. shoes has matured a whole lot, got 2 kids and is pretty much sober and kinda keeps to himself now. I've done two dlila events, one right before the covid chronicles and one right when shyt opened up fall of 2021 and didnt see him, but i seen him at a record store day thing. Bro be chillin. i feel like there was just a gang of miscommunication between folks back then which caused a lot of drama. Bro solid, but is mad passionate about certain things.

Unless I missed something, egon was making sure ma dukes was getting paid, to the patient he was paying double. The shoes track on the one jawn pissed off ma dukes, but that was made with Dilla, so it would have been incomplete without it. Egon did dikkhead shyt with doom and lib, but didn’t seem like it was done in this instance.
