The big four, Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open, are just big tournaments, none are for the championship of the season. First place ranked player is determined by wins.

You kinda right although ranking points are also used to be able to qualify to the atp world tour finals where at the end of the season the ten best ranked players compete in a round robin group stage and knockout stage which in a sense is a championship tournament like the champions league

Theyre going to finish in the low 80s in points far from dominating...I mean they didnt even win the title on the pitch,they won it watching a 2nd place team choke,seems fitting for the kind of season it was....which would be forgettable...

That's true. But how many people care about the ATP World Tour Finals as compared to Wimbledon? My left nut don't even care.

it was a down year for city and chelsea, arguably man united, but they didn't surprise me, and everton, who were top 4 contenders at best.

arsenal was a solid 3rd place team, as usual. liverpool got it together towards the end. west ham and soton make up 6th and 7th, that's very solid for them, respectively

if you wanna say that the premier league is garbage compared to previous years and especially compared to other european leagues, then you're right, but none of that takes away from them dominating the table. spurs and leicester showed out this year
