they have 8 more points than second best.

They are the best team. You are not making any sense. WE are talking about THIS season. THIS season, they lost 3 games. THIS season, they beat all the big clubs bar Arsenal. They the best team. No one cares if they fall back to relegation contenders next season because THIS season, they won the league. Stop sounding silly.

They arent the best team this year...

Not my fault you have no idea what you're talking about or what you've been missing :umad::umad::umad:

Its 32 games over the course of half a year with tons of excitement. I like more sports than you. :yeshrug:

Good for you, I just happen to like sports that are fun to watch and actually matter to me :manny:

Soccer at the highest level is only not fun to watch to those that have no idea how the game is played. That's a fact. I swear ignorant dudes who just WANT to hate the game the only ones I ever hear say soccer is boring. How can 45 minute halves of non stop back and forth attacking and defending be boring? I don't watch hockey but it's far from boring. I woulda been with you had you said golf or curling :heh:

Even though they were confirmed champions with 2 games left there are still Champions League and Europa league places up for grabs plus relegation spots to be decided
So just like US leagues keep teams involved till the end of a season with a playoff they keep teams involved with the chance for European Football
For the lower division they actually do have a playoff for places 3 through 6 for a promotion spot

I dont see how any real american can like soccer :scust:
The problem is most "real" Americans dont get a chance to watch real soccer. Watch the English, Spanish, German, or Italian leagues and you will see players who are talented enough at their sport to be compared to our top athletes like Curry, Lebron, Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, Ovechkin, whoever else is good at hockey/baseball, etc.

The american soccer league is trash. Ive been really getting into soccer the past few months and its a great sport to watch when its teams at the highest level.

This whole thing about Leicester not winning it on the field is a waste.

If Leicester would've beaten Manchester and won the title on the field last week, it would've been a bit more exciting but I doubt it would've changed most peoples overall opinion. Had they won it against Everton on the field this weekend, again would not have converted a bunch of people over.

Basically it sounds like people are mad soccer crowns their league champs in a way that makes sense, instead of a way that is the most exciting. NBA/NFL would improve of they borrowed some stuff from soccer.

So because you like soccer I'm supposed to like it too? I'm a huge sports fan who's family originates from the Caribbean. Soccer has always been around me whether I wanted it to be or not. I've given the sport multiple chances at different stages of my life. Bottom line is each time I've come to the conclusion I'd rather watch paint dry :francis:... and we agree on curling, btw :beli:

Growing up in Brooklyn in the late 80s, early 90s, every Sunday morning my older brother would watch the elite Italian league, with AC Milan etc, on UHF channel 21 or 31 (they may have shown Bundesliga games as well, not 100% though). Then either Telemundo or Univision would broadcast games later that afternoon /night, if memory serves correctly. I didn't reject soccer due to watching 10th grade American kids play it incompetently, I was literally watching these top leagues on a weekly basis and trying to let it win me over. It never did & I'm sure a lot of Americans who gave the sport a chance due to the free access to the elite leagues back then just simply felt the same way :yeshrug:

Except, it makes absolutely zero sense to have it structured the way you do.

-No league should be able to have a champion determined before the regular season ends.

-It is beyond absurd to be able to win a league on your day off.

-Theoretically, a team could just rest its star players for the remaining five games or so if the season was already won, and fans miss out there.

-Playoffs are between the best of the best. Have the regular season filter out the average teams, and let the real contenders battle it out..

I'm not talking about a tournament like the World Cup, which has its own issues by allowing a championship game be determined by penalty kicks.:mjlol:. We're talking about a league here that can be won before the season is officially over.

They arent best team tho, thats what im saying, most points this season, they arent the best team at all...This one year of luck will be proven next season when they struggle to be in the top 10..congrats to them i just think its a fluke...

They were the best team this season, how is this so hard to get. It doesn't matter what happens next season.

Only reason it's the most played sport in the world is because when you CACs went around raping and pillaging everything, you forced it on POC around the world much like you did religion
