The only positive for me in this would be disney would stop being petty fakkits spitting in their fans faces and start allowing x men/f4 to be in video games again. shyt is :hhh:

Good guy marvel always does it for the fans though :mjlol:

I'd kill for a dope AAA x men game like what we are finally getting from spider man now that marvel is taking games seriously and not releasing anymore cash grab trash games for a quick buck. That iron man game :mjlol:

Still wouldn't trade it for the loss of fox being fox.

And maybe they will let fox be fox. And that is what we can hope for.

But disney's actions in the last 10 years speak for themselves about the company they are right now.

right now we MArvel, Pixar, Lucas all being themselves ... so hopefully FOX is a big enough name with enough assets for Disney to fall back....
but I do wonder if Fox is allowed to be FOX doesn't the rights for FF and Xmen stay at FOX .. or do they have to negotiate a deal with themselves.

Those 3 studios only produce big budget franchise films though. It's not a good comparison.

Well at the end of the day..... you can’t have an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

Last I checked there a few more companies other than Disney that makes movies and if there is a void I’m sure someone will fill it..... and keyword is “IF” cuz for all we know it could be business as usual.

I do feel for you art types that may want to see Remnant and stuff like that. But if the only way we can see say Dr. Doom vs Strange or Silver Surfer with Thor is to sacrifice fukking Remnant or etc? Then so be it.

I will say the game is changing and many other great shyt is started to drop on avenues like Netflix.

What Happened to Monday comes to mind, like 5-10 years ago that’s a theatric movie but now it eats and lives forever on NF, same with Bright and that new futuristic movie I see a breh recently made a post about last night.

And I’m not even speaking from a pro Marvel standpoint, cuz if DC was in this same position I would feel strongly the exact same. If Fox had say Batman/GL and Warner had Superman(and every other DC properties) and the opportunity came for them to get Batman back at the gym expense of some artsy shyt that I’m not gonna spend money on nor watch on video/Netflix......

Then:camby:

I don’t mean no harm or maliciousness. I just wanna see the comic book cinematic universes at full strength

Yeah, creative films are gonna get fukked. Disney is gonna want to put a blockbuster in every month then add in the fact that the other studios will likely follow suit. The smaller films are gonna be overshadowed.

Also rumor is that one of the Murdoch's are gonna take over for Iger
Disney already have blockbusters every month. And smaller films are barely or not worth a nationwide release financially. And that has more to do with cable/streaming eating their food more than anything else. Movies are really only for kids, horror fans and high special effect spectacle nowadays.

*IF* Fox gets turned into just another franchise factory churning out product for Disney that's a huge loss for anyone who considers themselves a fan of film.

Like when Activision turns a dope smaller studio making interesting games into a factory for making map packs for call of duty.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I only see 2 negatives from This deal.

1. Fox News having more power and resources is scary.

2. Since x men and f4 will join the MIC, there will probably be less comic book movies per year. Marvel churns out about 3. So that will probably expand to 5 at most if that. The overall product might get diluted or fans may in fact get super hero movie fatigue.

The thing that has made the MCU great is they don't try to give people shyt they didn't ask for. And at one point the fans wanted the x men and f4 back in the MCU. Over time they accepted the separation. Now? This is something we haven't been demanding as of late.

It's like stock. You buy low and sell high. This deal would seem like marvel is buying high will slim chances to get a reasonable roi.

Nah Fox News stays as is. The deal is just for their entertainment division. Don’t scare us like that breh.

And fox won't be the same after this deal. They will have more resources to put into their news division in addition to the money they would get from this sale.
