This isn't new or shocking.
Right Wing propaganda online is teflon strong and, just like COVID, it spreads to different platforms fast and ruins anything it touches.
They infiltrated Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, IG, the manosphere, gaming, TV/movie criticism, the "conscious" community, hip hop blogs, podcasts, etc. You can be watching something unrelated to Right Wing propaganda but the algorithm will still find a way to recommend it to you. For instance, you can be watching a regular movie review and, before you know it, you'll get recommended another "review" decrying that a movie is "too woke."
One of the reasons the propaganda works so well is because it delves into a lot of idealism and contrarianism which appeals to many people who don't want to do their own research and are looking for "quick fix" solutions to complex problems.
Right Wingers promise to destroy feminism which is how they were able to infiltrate the manosphere. They promise to get rid of "wokeness" in entertainment which is how they appeal to the racist White nerds to play games, read comics, and watch TV/movies. They promise to get rid of inflation and lower taxes which is how they appeal to frustrated broke people. They promise to end the Ukraine/Russia war which is how they appeal to anti-war Americans. They promise to make the nuclear family more prominent. They promise to bush Trans/LGBTQ rights. They promise to stick up for Christianity. And they promise to return to an era of bliss that doesn't actually exist but is built off nostalgia and selective bias.
Right Wing shilling requires no actual thinking. All it takes is simply wanting to get rid of complex issues by snapping a finger like Thanos and feeling as though the Democrats/Liberals are the "bad guys" who are holding us back from this non-existent utopia that they want to bring back.
And I know some contrarians in this thread are going to say "What's wrong with Black men being free thinkers?" But "free thinking" in today's age comes at a price.(That's a bar). While you're busy "free thinking" and claiming "both sides have a point", the Right Wing is radicalizing more than ever before. And they love free thinkers who downplay the radical agenda of the GOP/Alt Right and think that they can reach a "mutual understanding" with them.
