The thread stands on two ideals:

1. "Lauryn Hill is a female rapper"
2. "The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill is the only universally accepted classic album from a female rapper"

There are enough people who don't consider these to be true. That's my "argument".

Lauryn's work in the Fugees is half-way relevant in this matter.
Her new single is irrelevant in this matter.

Thanks.

Yet you only presented Trina's interview to support your claim of "enough" people in comparison to the various Hip Hop media, a review from her peer, and a publication that chose to use Lauryn as the face of Hip Hop to discuss Hip Hop's impact on America. One of those publications, The Source refers to Lauryn as "the flyest MC". What R&B singers ever graced the cover of Rap Pages?

That was a pathetic cop out.

Like i said u destroyed your whole argument when the clip u posted had the 2 people in it acknowledging her as a female rapper.:umad:

What's pathetic is how you're not replying to the parts of my posts that have to do with the point of this thread
because of your feelings.

Did you read this thread? There were plenty of people in here that said the same.

And do you form your opinions solely based on "the various Hip Hop media"? Others do not.

I don't know - I never read Rap Pages.
Were you a reader of Rap Pages? Or did you just find out Lauryn was on the cover during an internet search?

Yeah I was 'feeling' like you avoided answering wether
her most recent single is R&B or hip-hop because had u actually answered u would have been admitting you were wrong.

Saying she wasn't a female rapper.

But I never said that, though.

Here's what I said:

So no - I never said "Lauryn Hill isn't a female rapper"; I said (more than once) that there are people who don't consider
her to be a rapper. I didn't say I was one.

I did however say that I don't consider The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill a rap album.

Now if you want to talk about anything else but those ideas, get lost.

If you didn't feel that way why would u even co sign such nonsense by acknowledging the words of fools cuz when u repeat the words of fools like that it comes off as a co sign.

Op said most didn't pay attention to the title saying there's only one universally accepted classic from a female rapper and your response was

' some dont see her as a female rapper.':russ:

Didn't make sense to even repeat the words of fools as a response unless it was a co sign.

Because for the OP to talk about something being "universally accepted", that implies that there is a general opinion of that particular something...
and in this case, he doesn't take into consideration the fact that there is a general opinion that Lauryn Hill is not considered by many to be a rapper.

It is a fact that that opinion exists, even if I don't share it.

My use of those articles is to prove that Lauryn Hill being an MC is a widely held opinion vs. the handful of people that disagree in this thread.
