I keep telling y'all dudes that Nintendo is a BRAND and household name.

And it's 1st and foremost because of there quality control and ability to take risk in the HARDWARE sector, which in turn leads to unique gaming experiences.

The crazy thing is that Nintendo has released such high quality first party games for over three decades that people feel like they are graded on a curve.

The fact that Nintendo releases games in 2022 that still average in the 8th to 10s to tell you all that you need to know.

Instead you feel like everyone has some Nintendo bias, instead of recognizing that is just quality games.

Nintendo releases kid friendly, positiveand sometime overly happy games. When that is absolutely not what's hot in this day and age especially in the game in the world.

They do this all with weaker hardware and less support from big third party titles. (How many of you played elden ring on your switch?)

On top of that they protect their brand, it seems ruthless and unconsumer friendly and to an extent it is but what it does is protect their IP and increases its value.

And the reason they get away with it and it's accepted is because they release quality material system after system and game after game, otherwise people would move on or not stand for it.

Microsoft and Sony both could stand to learn a few things from Nintendo but as it stands they are going opposite directions.

No it don’t. Nintendo been making the same shyt since forever. Most of their hardware gimmicks are just that, gimmicks. It’s pretty telling that when their games from old hardware get remastered the first thing people are checking for is if those old, dumb ass control gimmicks have been removed.

They are :stopitslime: we know the review game is highly subjective. When half of the reviews are coming from sites called “Nintendo power” and the other half from people who’s first gaming experience was Mario then shyts gonna be skewed

The games aren’t bad. But they also are not this bastion of innovation and quality yall try to position them as. They are very safe and play to their fans, and that’s ok cause obviously it’s working :manny:

Nintendo hardware is not “quality” it’s always the cheapest, less advanced on the market. They just get away with it cause people are so stuck on their franchises, they just accept whatever they need to, to play Nintendo games. :smh:

An Xbot arguing with an Xbot.:ohhh: Never thought I'd live to see the day.:mjlol: You love to see it!:blessed:

You've basically missed the entire point of Nintendo's software strategy.

They do stick to their iconic ips largely, but that's because their ips are genre kings because they innovated it there firstly.

Mario Kart is a party Kart racer. The first one at that. Back on snes, it was unheard of.
Now they're a staple racing genre...say thank you Nintendo.

Smash Bros is a platform fighter with a brain flip ko system.
Unheard of in 2000, now yet another staple genre.... Thank you Nintendo.

Splatoon is a brainflip 3rd person multiplayer arena shooter. Nobody combined ground control with movement and verticality like that.... lets try thank you Nintendo.

Fire Emblem? Basically the grandfather of srpgs....thank you Nintendo.

Metroid?.......has an entire genre named after itself.

Zelda? Introduced the save system, say thank you Nintendo.

Why on earth would they trailblaze goldmines and then abandon all the gold?

As to the review bias...lol.

As to the hardware.... lol again. It's crazy how their games are the most anticipated barring few exceptions yet the hardware is 90s calculator status.....must be all that impeccable game design making up the difference.

I didn’t miss the point. Y’all did.

They make safe fan favorite games over and over again. They play to that base. It’s almost a whole different market.

But you with this thread talmbout they are the current best developers, fukk outa here with that. Lots of developers doing way more. Nintendo is safe as fukk.

Nintendo can sell the same Mario game over and over for decades each generation and get away with it.

They literally remastered content from old Mario Kart games and put it in their current "deluxe" version of Mario Kart. :dead:

I mean I get it, it's content but it's funny how they pretty much milk their shyt over and over.

Nintendo the game developer is good. No one will deny this.

Nintendo talking is term of business is awful tho. In all honestly it wasn’t really bad until that new president took over.

Yeah, I think most gamers can admit to Nintendo being good at game development, as they make good and fun games. But all this overrating/fellating them as if they're just hands down better than any and everyone else out there, with the touting of everything they shyt out as gold and are infallible by their stans is a bridge much too far.

I still think smash bros ultimate and smash bros for the Wii U are the same game. Which is how they were able to keep the licensing for all those 3rd party characters

They aren’t. The Wii U version plays and feels much slower. The amount of changes given to ultimate is beyond what you would get in a port.

Who aside from someone like Valve with Half-life Alyx? Or the team that did NMS?

Most other developers at best are breaking ground in terms of story settings or scale.

Starfield looks dope but it's Mass Effect to the third power.

Gow got its most acclaim doing its last game in the framework established by Zelda 20 years ago.

Nintendo is literally patenting new gameplay mechanics for its premiere titles, while others are still setting up shop in the buildings built years ago.

There's a reason why so many Nintendo games are touted as being from the future.

Safe is doing a new skin on old bones.

Risky is doing a new frame with an old skin, as you run the risk of alienating longtime fans.

Give it up, breh. Sony gamers just want cinematics over gameplay. They been conditioned since the PS1 era to not care about gameplay mechanics like that. Nintendo done laps over them gameplay wise, but never given their full props.
