I voted for Dems and I disagree. Dems should step up. As much as I want non-voters and Trump voters to be punished I know that it only goes so far and is ultimately short-sighted.
Dems have a golden opportunity to position themselves as leading the resistance against Trump's fascism. Ask yourselves if Republicans were in the position that Dems are in now would they be behaving thid same way? Of course not. They would be obstructing every single fukking thing.
The authoritarian/oligarchic takeover of America has never been more clear. And most people know that it's wrong. Fomenting a true resistance should be an easy layup for Dems. Their inaction is just proving a lot of people's point that they're incompetent and weak.
The Dems really needs killers and brawlers. People who'll fight savagely. Every day Dems should be holding press conferences on the steps of Congress publicly shaming Republicans, with their sleeves rolled up, sweating and yelling out expletives. They should be obstructing every piece of legislation. Obstructing all the confirmations. Mobilizing people to block Elon and his crew from getting into federal buildings, even if it means getting arrested. They should be getting on Tiktoks and following around Republican members of congress, shaming them for their betrayal of the American public. They need to induce raw anger and rage among the American public. Enough of the fear tactics. It only makes people apathetic and feel powerless. Sure a lot of this is performative but it makes people feel empowered. Which is important if you ultimately want people to get engaged.
Delusional liberals. Why would anyone want to be saved by a group of people that's crashing out daily, instead of taking care of business in their homes and communities.
