This tweet should be everywhere.

A tremendous indictment.
I think the Japanese guys were the only ones they tried to get and failed besides Soto. Everyone else was “they kicked the tires but decided against it” type of reports to keep the fans from burning the stadium down. I really want to know what they think they can do to earn back the fans trust and keep ticket sales up after the last decade.

Could be a case of an overzealous security guard, but sounds like they were doing their jobs at Yankee Stadium.

This does reek of those instances of "do you know who I am?" bs. Might've worked at the Nationals stadium or in San Diego, but Yankee Stadium is another security beast that he didn't understand or care to respect. I'm sure arrangements could've been made for ahead of time for him and his folks, same as all the other Yankees' players who request it.

Have fun at Citi Field.

Yankee security some dikkheads. They be defending shyt in the stadium like it's the Berlin Wall.
Were there any bobblehead days in the back half of 2023 when the team was in last place and stadium was a ghost town :pachaha:?
There were because I remember going to get some stuff for my cousin, but it was like Luis Severino bobble head day! Nestor Cortes bobblehead day!

2025 promotional schedule gonna be crazy

Aaron Judge loyalty bathroom sign day!

Bregman brew mug day!

1950 New York Yankees ring day!

Giancarlo Stanton Lacrosse Jersey day

Jazz Chisholm Star Wars Bobblehead Day!

Yankees will probably try to convince Brett Gardner to come back for Old Timers' Day

Soto with a stacked roster in SD, in a weak National League, had the same record as the worst Yankee team in three decades, with Judge missing two months.

This was his first 90-win season in five years

Yet ya crying in here acting like we lost prime Willie Mays. I never thought I'd see fanboy behavior from this fanbase. Sad to see.

if you watched this team and thought they didn't need him, then you weren't paying attention.

There's no good enough pivot short or long term to justify the thought that they'll be fine.

Just gotta pass the torch to the Martian and whoever comes up alongside him.

With no Soto, teams can afford to not pitch to judge again, which makes him a less effective player. Outside of Judge, does anyone else on this team scare any pitcher? Remember what the back half of 2022 was like where nobody would pitch to judge unless the bases were empty? Only 21 of his 62 homers came with someone on base. That’s not good. 62 homers should lead to at least 14-16 more RBI’s than he got that year, but nobody pitched to him when men were on because he had no protection in the lineup. A near 1.000 ops doesn’t grow on trees. We hadn’t seen anyone get on base like he did aside from Judge since Jason Giambi. 41 homers speaks for itself, but a .288 average and .420+ OBP is borderline irreplaceable too. Go look at the rest of the roster. Outside of jazz, the next highest batting average was .247 and he & wells were the only other guys to have even a .310 OBP on the year. You can’t replace that sort of production and that goes double for October, where Stanton is now the only hitter on the team you can trust. If losing Soto wasn’t catastrophic, what moves do you think there are to be made that can replace him? Since 2020, the only other Yankee to have even an .850 ops on a year besides judge was 2021 Stanton. It’s been years now of them being unable to fill out the rest of the batting order. In fact he’s the only other Yankee batter besides Judge since 2021 to hit even .275 on a season.

So Hal chose to let the future of the franchise walk when he had the final shot at him, knowing his team would be screwed in the long term and short term if he did let him walk on account of there being no other difference making hitters being available to offset the loss of Soto. Yeah I’m done until he sells the team and I hope the Mets, dodgers, Astros, and Red Sox win every World Series until he sells it. If this report is true, judge, Stanton, and Cole need to force their way out before 2025 gets under way.

That wasn't a final shot, it was an opportunity to match the latest offer, and if he did Cohen would've kept widening that $50m gap with the escalators. He wasn't gonna be outbid.

I don't recall ever saying this.

I'm asking why his team mediocre with a much superior roster, and much better after he left, since ya making him out to be this one-man difference maker

Okay, I get all of this. I'm not minimizing his impact. But all of this led us to basically the 2022 team, only this time we lucked into playing the AL central.

His defensive blunder gave the Dodgers two runs in Gm 1.

This "Soto or we riot" that y'all on is a bad, bad, bad take
