So voters should consider whether they believe the player will win a title as the main guy before voting for him?

No.

They should have looked at his record and not rewarded him for 6th place.

And I think we’ve come full circle now.

If they won one more game and was in 5th place would that be enough, or does his team need to be in 4th to qualify?

The media pulled the rug from Embiid the moment Harden got off the plane.

People tryna bring up playoff records to discredit his well deserved MVP lmao.

3 years in a row joker has made it past the first round. And already been to a conference finals as well.

Embiid has a much worse playoff record, so please don’t use that excuse to discredit Jokic.

You don’t need to at me with your hypotheticals. You’re not about to change my opinion.

If this!

If that!

But this!

But wait there’s more!

The circumstances are exactly the same IMO.

2 guys who can’t win it all being rewarded by the media for putting up pretty stats.
Nash beat Kobe, who was his MVP competitor in the playoffs tho. Logically, you either have to say Nash was deserving and Jokic isn’t, or Kobe should’ve won it, and Jokic deserves it this year.

What if I told you that there’s a third option?

And that’s the option where Nash didn’t deserve back to back mvps and neither does Jokic.

That’s not how stats work. The shooting percentages and efficiency are drastically different. The seasons are nowhere near similar.
If you wanted to say you were relying on advanced metrics you should’ve said that. I’m not one of these anti-analytics dudes. I’m making the same point that Steph’s own teammate Draymond Green made. It’s nothing more than that. I’m well aware of “how stats work.” But thanks.
