More specifically, James’ poor play and Doc’s stubborn coaching f’d it up, IMO.

Post-trade, I said there were 4 big games that would be crucial for Embiid’s MVP case, because narrators would be narrating:

BK game
DEN game
PHX game
MIL game

They lost all of them, each in non-redeeming ways. The TOR game was just another cherry on top. Can’t be coughing up leads every time.
As a sixers fan I have to agree with this. In all fairness to Embiid, most of these leads were coughed up while he was sitting on the bench for extended stretches.

Doc cost Embiid the mvp.

You want an NBA where we reward guys like Bradley Beal.

So when he averages 40 next year and heroically leads the wizards to 39 wins I don’t wanna hear nothing except for give him the MVP.
Nuggets won 48 games BTW - and yes if Beal averages 40 points out of nowhere and drags his team, why wouldnt he be an MVP candidate

why even throw some BS hypothetical like that out there

And if Embiid loses in the first round, would that mean he shouldn't have won MVP, a regular season award?

I believe that Embiid can and will win the chip as the main guy. Maybe it’s this season. Maybe not.

I do not see Jokic and Denver winning it all. Ever.

The stats are very pretty tho.
