Sec+ isn't getting you ready for cyber security to be honest.
You are better off self studying a Sec+ book and running some vms and actually understanding the tools used in cyber security.
That said if you don't have a criminal record getting some IT exp and a sec+ can get you into the government and help you get a security clearance, US govt begging for cyber security professionals

do you think the govt jobs will look deep into your background like the military? I got extensive juvenile record

All the reviews have been stellar on Compare The Best Coding Bootcamps of 2019 too.....All-in it's about a $12K loan. What do u brehs think?

Your background check is your background check.
That said, its about risk assessment with you BG.
If you are honest about what happened and there is enough time with a good record, you should be fine

What should I ask for once I get this CCNA? I will have the CCNA and S+. I have no networking experience at corporations but 2 years in a SOC but a very entry level position.

Salary wise? and what jobs should I apply for? I'm think network support or something along those lines.
You should ask for a job.
I mean the certs are nice, but you won't be making bank without experience, unless you know someone.
At this point, you get the certs, just look for work and actual experience.
The best bet for salary is to look up similar jobs on indeed or linkedin and see what the going rate is

I think you maybe underestimating your worth. If you worked in a Soc , many companies will hire you with the certs. Most people that start in a soc progress to other positions. Some leave after a year.

One thing I have noticed with the soc is unless you are tier 3, you don't get the heavy network trouble shooting experience but someone will take a chance with the sec plus, ccna.

Also different managers value different things.

Me too my g.

Funny story, I got my first network engineering job working for the Maryland state police. The did a background check and polygraph. Everytime you get stopped/questioned by the cops it gets transferred to a database; even juvenile shyt. So I'm hooked up to the polygraph machine and this trooper is asking me about hella juvenile shyt from shootings to robberies. I'm sitting there thinking it's no way I'm gonna get the job but I did.

Juvenile shyt doesn't count and most jobs won't see it in there checks. It just so happens my name is engrained in MD police database :russ: and the state police has access to old entries.

Interview for a senior Devops role scheduled to start in a hour and a half, I’m super nervous that these Cacs may try to pick me apart. Blessed to already have a job lined up though, so it’s basically to have an additional option to pick from
:whew:.

The offer I have is more of a cloud engineer/automation and this is straight Devops...wish me luck brehs
