I feel like im stuck as far as the studying goes for my A+ and im feeling like im not using the right material ...
I went on the official compTIA website to look at what exactly is going to be on the exams so i have an idea of what to focus on though.... Are there any books you brehs recommended (im using the mike myers book ) or videos (I usually watch the professor messer guy on YouTube) ?
Back in the day this was the go to book, I'm guessing it's still the best one to use:
Everything on the exam was covered in the book, I just used some exam simulators to practice at the end of my studying.
You should check out groupon for the latest coverageThanks alot breh, do you think its gonna make much of a difference that this book covers 801/802 and i plan on taking the new 901/902?

Just the comptias, but a lot of work experience
Well i started out doing tech support at call centers. First for sprint then a cable company.Did you start out at help desk? If so did you have to get your A+ cert before applying for the job?

Depending on where you work, IT jobs have A LOT of down time. I've dont less than 20 hours of actual work over the last 3 months
You should know tbhI've interviewed some level 1 help desk positions and they all seem to expect me to already know how to troubleshoot issues.
This entry level part of my career is taking forever.
I guess I'll keep studying then. You should know tbh
Think ima go for MCSE next before i go for the CISSP, just cause i already have a strong foundation of it and wanna know everything.
Same route here
What are you using to study? Im using the itprotv site that someone dropped earlier along with the books and a home setup i already got going...the itprotv site is dope...they have great presentation, also get practice labs and practice tests...they have a discount code for 30% off if you google it(400 bucks for the yr with discount but worth the investment)...they have a shyt load of courses and some technical knowledge stuff (even have powershell and cissp).
I was gonna use career academy from groupon like i did for my CompTIAs but they don't have interactive labs/sims.Same route here
