Gyaaaat Damn, lol. Thats a lot of friggin abbreviationsAD can be very complex. You can log into your Facebook account with your AD account if you set up a few servers (federation). And it's not just "AD" now. There's AD FS, AD CS, AD RMS, AD LDS, and probably more. Not to mention all the applications that require AD to even work (exchange, system manager, and sharepoint).
In most large enterprises, AD touches damn near everything. Like Qlikview for example. They made sure to include native support for Active Directory.
