Brehs the BIG BOY bag has been dropped :wow:I got the netsec engineer role. Apparently I killed the interviews, recruiter said from the interview feedback I was so far above everyone else there was no competition. :ohhh:. This opportunity is huge because the team is new and they are missing soooo much automation/cloud skills that I can immediately make an impact and level up even more in probably another yr.

I start in mid June going to put in my 2 weeks and enjoy all these weeks off :blessed:. Already had a trip planned to DR, but the rest of the weeks I honestly dont know wtf imma do

Feels good to set a goal and accomplish it :mjcry:

Total TC ~ $760
Yearly ~ $330

For people who aren't the best at studying, the material isn't hard but it's just not that interesting, how did yall power through?? I'm trying to envision the bag and lifestyle I want later through getting these certs but for now, it's a struggle.

I have this problem too since i'm more of an hands on person and theory stuff tends to bore me. The only advice I can recommend is to get up earlier in the day and study ( even if it's just an 1/2hr ). Knocking some of it out first thing helps and reduces distractions.

Congrats! What’s the difference between the 760 and 330? Is that all stock?

Hey I'm tryna break into Cybersecurity. I got my sec+ cert recently. I don't have any prior IT work, but I do have a physical home lab, and virtual home lab set up. I'm really tryna get into a remote Security Analyst position. any advice?

So i've noticed I only get hit ups from recruiters and follow ups from companies due to my work experience . Basically I got my resume starting in 2010 when i was in HS and got my A+ and learned network cabling.

2010 - 2011 Computer Repair
2011 - 2012 Network Cabling Technician
2014 - 2017 Help Desk Support
2017 - 2020 Network Support Technician

but I have 0 certs to go with that history . I was starting from the bottom but A+ but the shyt is boring and i already know most of this . I'm skipping all of that and going straight into AWS/Azure certs

Is this a good idea skipping the basics and jumping straight to the $ ? I don't even think i wanna do CCNA/networking type shyt anymore

So my goal is to become an IT Project Manager. I have zero IT background and I’m studying for the CAP-M certification test. What other certs should I start with? A+?
