That was me half way through my phone interview with Google today :dead: I gotta stop wasting these opportunities with these FAANG companies brehs. Believe it or not the coding portion was the easiest part for me but the networking i simply couldn't recall it all. Pissed me off because I knew the answers I just couldn't remember a few of them. I been off my A game so this lit a fire under me honestly.

Him: "If you was running OSPF between two routers with 10gb links what would the headers look like?

Me:
full

I legit asked him to repeat it like 3 times because in my head i was thinking "how fukk would i know that?". :dahell:

yeah breh might need to rethink this path

da Fukk yo?

But if the 1st part of the A+ is whipping his ass this much, Idunno breh
It took me 4 tries to pass that I know his pain it happens differently for some people

Word of advice. Study for the CCNA & Security+ before AWS Solutions.

I did the same exact thing you are doing and it is not ideal. You will literally be working backwards like me and it is going to take you longer to get the cert. So many networking and security concepts that is the core of AWS.

Yeah I've honed in on that S+ for now, Dion videos, interesting stuff

i mostly agree with this but would suggest getting the network + and an entry level Linux cert over the ccna. by the time you're doing heavy duty networking in the cloud, it would make more sense to tackle the aws advanced networking specialty cert then putting the carriage before the horse and having a vendor specific cert that isn't entirely relevant to where you tryna be.

Late reply but yes take it. Take any thing to get in the door

My first job was an unpaid internship that I did for about 4 months but it was enough to land me a contract after wards

Get the contract and study for a cert while you’re at it. You’ll be looking really good in the end.
I took it, :takedat:and then immediately put it on my resume and now it looks like I've been there for two months :yeshrug::lolbron:

It's already made an immediate difference in how many of my resumes get downloaded from apps on LinkedIN :wow:

The job is mad cushy, we get paid $25/hr full time to sit around until some of these users need their webcam to work :blessed:

"I did submit you to the position but I also found another position I think you might be interested in and a better fit for, plus it's always great to be marketed to multiple positions because then your chances of obtaining an interview and position are higher. It's a contract lasting until the end of the year for a great company called XXX, we work with the account a lot and we are constantly placing top candidates with them. Below is the job description for the second role. Both roles I submitted you at $30 an hour
Client:
Position: HelpDesk Technician

Type: Contract

Hours: 9am-5pm Est

Location: Remote (May become hybrid)"

:whoo:

Please:damn:

Try to do AZ203 or AZ204 and get in one of the leader led trainings if you can. Mine is through corporate so the experience may be different, but you get $100/30 day Azure subscription and some labs that help you get hands on with the stuff. You also get a book to prep for the test. Courses are taught by Microsoft.
