Has anyone taken a 2 month contract when they didn't have any experience and was that enough to start getting actual direct hire work?

Google ‘Service desk [random city] LinkedIn’ remix 3 or 4 different profiles. Add some stuff you actually did. Profit.

Get it where you can, better than nothing.
Yup I took it. It's short :francis: but, $25/HR:to:, more than I ever made.

I had a chick literally cut the interview on my short because she was mistaken and thought I had MSP experience.:mjlol: God damn, if you don't have it you ain't shyt in this industry.

Bro, just have to keep trying man n cert up. I took a year of rejection myself lol when I was starting out. Just keep applying for your next contract and move on to the next. Eventually a solid offer will come but now a slight door has opened just keep grinding.

Take it. Put it on your resume and when you start interviewing again just say you needed to work and didn't want to go on unemployment.

Late reply but yes take it. Take any thing to get in the door

My first job was an unpaid internship that I did for about 4 months but it was enough to land me a contract after wards

Get the contract and study for a cert while you’re at it. You’ll be looking really good in the end.

I got a cousin that's wants to get her certs where should she start :jbhmm: she kinda lost
Is she even interested in the field? Or is she chasing a check? I don't recommend anyone get into tech if they aren't really interested. At any rate, I think it general sentiment is A+, Net+, Sec+.

You should find out what specifically she's interested in because IT is broad, but when I hear IT, I personally don't think of Software Engineering, which is what she'd be learning at a coding boot camp. When you have the answer to that, we can give better recommendations.
