Oh that's not some clever wording because they're taking a cut?

Anyway I don't have any actual help desk experience so they were offering to add some fake shyt to my resume :heh:

I have no idea if I'm gonna need to do that to actually break in :snoop:
Nah that means it is 27 per hour, I would just be leerily as the recruiter 8/10 will just disappear on you

More than I make :francis:
Don't trip, you'll be in a better role before too long.

They're almost definitely taking a cut. I don't entertain 3rd part recruiters. Most of the time they can't be bothered to send me job descriptions that match my experience. If they're half assing that, it doesn't bode well for the rest. I recommend keeping your LinkedIn on point and your job search settings open to work because you'll get good interest directly from companies. What's more, as long as you're in their system, you should get emails from their recruiters regularly. I try to cut out as many middlemen as possible.

Hey can anyone suggest a good Splunk beginner course? I need to get experience/training on this and my job isn't helping so I need to accomplish this on my own.

Ah ok, yeah I was thinking about going for Security+ next, cause a friend who does IT, said that I could learn networking on the job.

So more than likely
Security
Microsoft Cert
Networking
CCNA

IT's pretty much been the same stack of certs since forever, A+, Sec+, Microsoft, CCNA

like most people I'd reccomend studying Net+ material then getting the CCNA later down the line

also for learning this shyt, Udemy is your friend

for learning networking...
TOTAL: CompTIA Network+ Certification (N10-007)

For basic windows administration/desktop support skills
Learn Microsoft Windows Server Training for Beginners

This course breaks it down to its most basic ABC easy to digest, the instreuctor is enthusiastic and energetic and speaks fast enough not to bore you.

also to get hands-on experience with this shyt you are going to need to need Virtual Box to set up virtual machines to follow along with these videos, basically building your own home lab to play around in

Virtual Box
Oracle VM VirtualBox

then you're going to need the actual Operating system .ISO files to run inside the virtual machines (Windows 7/8.1/10, CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL)

Yeah I jumped on Udemy and grabbed a couple of courses from Mike Meyers and been knocking out a bit each day.
