It’s tempting but with the way these companies like to have meetings and working sessions I’d be too stressed trying to juggle multiple meetings that can easily occur at the same time. Now if I can find a job that’s 100% assignment based with no active troubleshooting that may be diff story

you can finesse one additional J. If all your meetings line up, then that’s just bad luck.

I got that shyt last Jan. shyt just expired :beli:. Too busy to take.

I registered for it so I could get a job in devops, which i ended up doing.

On another note, brehs, pls get on the overemployed wave. With remote work, this is the season to cake.

You work in DevOps now?

Been putting this off for long enough. I paid for the CKA last March but just never got around to getting it. Gonna give myself 6-8 weeks to bang this out.

Man knock that out....I got mine and my salary is at another level. To give you perspective...I was making $204,000 last year...now its more....wayyyyyy more. I really can't believe it either because a few years ago I was barely making it and sleeping out of my car to become a software engineer

Nice! Same here...well I'm a Site Reliability Engineer now but to me its all of the same with some minor differences.
204K with one gig:wow:

Brazy.

Yeah, despite us having an SRE team, our devops team functions as the SRE team. Main duties involves assisting developers with issues in the CI/CD pipeline. We have a lot of jenkins/tekton jobs. We have a couple of custom built self service applications that we maintain. Most of the work ive done has in building apis that trigger tekton/jenkins jobs. Our stack is React, NodeJs, Postgres, Nginx, Terraform, GCP.

Ah nice we have a similar set up as well. Terraform and ansible for configuration management, docker and kubernetes for containerization and testing but we are multi-cloud as well (aws, gcp, azure) as well as multi OS (Windows/Linux). Python, Go, C, Haskell, and bash for coding and scripting

I work for the government so thats why our stack is all over the place.

After 3 years, I'm completely done with the customer interaction side of IT. What can i do still in the entry level/or work towards to stay in IT and deal with NO Customers at all. I'm just over it

I'll even go back On Site, I'm just done with CS for good

I am trying to study Python

A recruiter just called me, they were Indian so I know to be weary :francis: but I need some kind of experience to break in. He said it's "$27 on my W2" when I asked about the rate. What that mean?:dwillhuh:

That sounds like $27 per hour :picard:
Oh that's not some clever wording because they're taking a cut?

Anyway I don't have any actual help desk experience so they were offering to add some fake shyt to my resume :heh:

I have no idea if I'm gonna need to do that to actually break in :snoop:
