Started doing the knowledge on building my own consulting company :whoo:. Ground work is done :

  • Tax advantages are clean
  • Finding good accountants is up next
  • How to find customers : recruiters will bring me contracts. The market is scorching hot
  • From talking to various recruiter, I can charge around 100$ per hour :whew: Looking at over 200K per year :picard:
  • I also have experience compliance auditing so I will reach out to certifying bodies and take advantage of being fluently bilingual in Canada
  • Full time move is happening next summer at latest
God body shyt :wow:!

All Praises due to the true Gods living :takedat:!
Did one interview and the contract is already on its way :picard:. Like I said, working with the right recruiter will change your life :ahh:. The market is so hot that I found a contract in less than a week :gucci:

I'll offer to my current company to still do some hours as a contractor to complete the cypher :sas2:.

Do your time getting the experience, get your certs, and get this money :whoo:

The market is so bad for employment at the moment, had to just accept an offer because cant go w/o income for so long, but it was like my 4th choice & Im still actively on the market

What is it with there being off site positions, its weird to especially with this Delta Variant, these companies & recruiters think you are crazy for not wanting to go back

Companies are playing on people's desperation (yourself for example) so they are not trying to treat workers like they have in the past. You need to make the most of your time at this current company and use any benefits they can offer. Then jump ship when the time is right.

Companies are trying to get people back in the office because they receive some type of tax benefit based on the number of people they have in the building(my manager was trying to explain it to me but I didn't care).

I'm fortunate, as of right now I can pick & choose ( the offer I accepted is WFH with benefits & PTO so I plan to still look or get another one too) but its crazy how nothing is WFH anymore. On site is everything now even though Covid is still very much around

I'm happy af I found work at a firm that has no plans of bushing WFH for the foreseeable future, especially considering the covid fall incoming.

PMP is a must at this point :youngsabo:. Why work hard when I could just drop shyt on I.T security engineers desk and ask them has this been completed yet :birdman:. What's the timeline on this implementation? Has this been patch yet? :heh:.
Looking to pick that one up myself. Any particular classes or material you using to study?

I haven't started studying yet but I am shooting for it in 2022 since I am pretty burnt out but I would most likely use quizlet and various practice exams and combine with youtube to make sense of everything.

Are you trying to do the math, or are you using memorization? IMO it’s easier to just find a chart or a subnet trivia website and just try to memorize it.

I got an interview for a government position in like a week. It's for a networking role but I'm more comfortable in security. I have knowledge about the OSI layer and other networking fundamentals. I'm currently looking into active directory and SCCM based on the job requirements. Is there anything else that I should take a look at to prepare myself?

Hard to say without knowing the actual job position. When I think networking I don't think AD or SCCM. That's the downside to some of these positions. They list them as one thing but want something completely different.

Basically look at the job description and make sure you’re comfortable with everything there and on your resume.
