Whats really good 6 figure 6 Certs brehs?
Anyone passed EC-ECSA in here?
Just passed the CEH and already got my CISSP in the bag. How difficult is the EC-ECSA exam?
Exactly!
That was the whole reason I got my RHCSA . I originally started off on the pure linux Engineer --->Devops path, but as fate would have it, I sort of just fell into this VMware stuff and I've been loving it just as much and its gettin me mad bread because of my experience with it
TBH I really havent tried nearly as hard enough to land a Linux role, Maybe I can find a second job doing Linux than springboard to a Devops role
Currently I'm already in a level 3 Cloud/Infrastructure engineer role for a firm that deals exclusively with providing cloud-based solutions and services. I'm just trying to soak up as much as I can between my this job and my homelabs.
I plan to stay in the cloud/virtualization/Linux side of things for the long term. I havent had a linux role yet but maybe its time to start pushing for that.
Cloud/Virtualization for day job
Linux- evening job - After that I'm shooting for Devops
what kinda onboarding process they got going on there? Covid shouldnt have fukked things up THAT badStill waiting for this slow ass onboarding process to be done with. It's been going on 4 months now lol and i'm still just gettin paid to do jack shyt but do a few new hire training courses
How did you find the CEH? I got that one to do right after the sec+.
Why would you want to?Can I skip the A+ for CySA+ cert?
I’m interested in a careerWhy would you want to?
Can I skip the A+ for CySA+ cert?
Can I skip the A+ for CySA+ cert?
You start with the basics and grow from there. Can I skip the A+ for CySA+ cert?
The only certs Security related certs I've been asked for was Security+ or CEH which was years ago. The CISSP, OSCP or any SANS certs seem to be the most popular these days. The SANS certs are probably the easiest. But are out of most people's and companies price range. I've seen companies require SANS certs to work for them. Yet won't pay for their own employees to get those same SANS certs. You can, but wouldn’t the gig require a Sec+ cert first? Some people don’t fukk with A+ but it’s a great foundation. I took a CySA course, it’s not bad but you wanna have some idea of Sec+ first or else it’ll look a bit foreign.
The shyt that’s frustrated me is admittedly I’m a terrible test taker and have pretty trash study habits. I’m a much better apprentice/learn on the job type. But I’ll never get my foot in the door without overcoming this cert shyt. Started reaching out to people I know in the field to help out.
How have you been studying? I relay that question to anyone else in here.
