Basically just a 3 hour lovefest for Amazon being a great place to work. Some good tips on resumes and interviews, but pretty much you can find that anywhere online.

Wish they focuses more on the actual jobs they are hiring for, or be like an actual career fair and help you out in that regard.

Figured as much. I applied there a couple of months back and got a denial email within the hour :wow:

I want to delve more into Cybersecurity/programming. Going to pick up some books this weekend.

Here's my list:
The Linux Command Line, 2nd Edition by William Shotts
Linux Basics for Hackers by OccupyTheWeb
Violent Python: A Cookbook for Hackers by TJ O'Connor
Black Hat Python : Python Programming By Justin Seitz
The Art of Deception: Controlling the Human Element of Security By Kevin D. Mitnick
Ghost in the Wires By Kevin Mitnick

What do you guys think? Would these be good books for a beginner or any must read books that might be missing from my list?

This is a pretty good resource for books. All IT eBooks - Free IT eBooks Download

Question is what is a good paying cert that I can achieve in 3-4 months, that would require zero work experience in that field and is in demand?

I am making $17 as a IT technican and urgently need a change as I am in a difficult financial situation. I have 3+ exp as a tech but zero certs sadly.

I been studying for AWS cert for over a year and a half and have somewhat a understanding of it. Also been studying Web dev and Python. I just don't know what route to take though. I really want this AWS job cause I like it alot, but feel I won't be qualified even if I do get the cert
:(.

Any suggestions, anything other than CCNA please.

You are completely right bro, it's just that I struggle with creating a roadmap or having thorough plan.

Also so hands on projects count as experience? Would I have to build my own personal website to show off my projects, or a github etc?

certs are not experience but they do help

if you know the job you want then research that position

like if I wanted to go to Chicago and become a Linux admin, then I would go to indeed and look up the job requirements.

Reddit, Udemy, YouTube are also good places to start

and the fact that you have experience helps

I do research but these requirements look crazy for some of these entry level positions :sadcam:. They look like they tryna have 1 guy do all the IT stuff to save money or sum shyt:francis:
