I have a full time career not just a job. haven't been unemployed in well over a decade and that was b/c i was looking for work after college.

i'm 34 years old I'd kill myself if i hadn't had a job in 4 years and i'm not joking.

Word. Four years spending my time in some chicks house, eating her food, watching her to go to work everyday, and I can't even speak properly in a job interview? :wtf: I'd lynch myself and let the Klan claim the body...

This show IS propaganda.

:ohhh:

The guy from the club texted Issa and told her to come through, once she arrived, she had second thoughts and decided it probably wasn't best for her to be there knowing her situation.

The guy spotted her in front of his house and got into the vehicle with her, he goes in for a kiss and she tells him how she's not ready to hop from one relationship to another, the guy's response is CERTAINLY not typical of Black men in this scenario because he IMMEDIATELY cuts her off to explain his honest intentions.

Guy: relationship? :whoa: woah, maybe I gave you the wrong idea.

and then IMMEDIATELY lets himself out of the vehicle.

the average coli nikka would NEVER get that close to smashing only to let it fall through your fingers because of silly "morals".

So for you guys to paint this man as some stereotypical character only out to get p*ssy is the height of hilarity considering he could have EASILY pushed the issue and smashed.

:pachaha:

After watching this entire episode, I can't help but conclude that what REALLY bothers you about this show isn't being addressed in your arguments because if this Issa Rae was the Black male hating feminist that you paint her as, the depictions of these characters should have been FAR worse as opposed to the honest Black guy she ran into at the club who surely wanted to fukk but removed himself from the situation once he realized they weren't on the same page, the "stereotypical" Black male would have lied and manipulated his way into the p*ssy.

you nikkas are characters

:pachaha:

have you seen the Black male unemployment rate snowflake?

If you have, are you surprised that the suicide rate isn't much higher for Black males?

But Insecure is? K.

Enjoy your heavily nuanced, layered, non-stereotypical show in Atlanta. You don't have to support Insecure. Its a black woman centered and created show, and we are very aware black men largely feel no obligation to support that, despite black women having no problem supporting the reverse situation. It is what it is.

How is Awkward Black Girl/Insecure is any different from a typical "I am looking for a man" centered Black female show....

Like we seen this before...especially as Black men, we already know what is gonna happen...and we already seen Awkward Black Girl and Insecure is an adaption of that...

Why the hell do we wanna see another Black female work narrative fiction where the Black man isn't good enough...so she runs off with a White dude?

We would rather just have the Black girl be with the White man and just cut to the chase, so we don't gotta be in the show.

I support Black works if it is good. That Guy...is a Black female created show...and it's actually treats Black men right...it doesn't make us into cardboard.

still waiting for that show with normal brothers having to deal with thots and single mothers
to hold up a mirror for sisters and show our reality :troll:
20 years later and I still haven't seen the black male version of Waiting to Exhale. How about a black male Something New? You think black women would be cool with that?

Watched the trailer, from the looks of it this show and Atlanta are pretty much the same with the difference being the gender of the lead character :mjlol:

It's what Atlanta would be if Glover's girl in Atlanta was the main character instead of him.

The real elephant in the room is the mirror you and many others hate to have staring back at you.

You know it;s funny that Girlfriends had them dating white males, and even had one of them (the darkest actress, go figure) marry and procreate with one.

You will NEVER see that on a white girl centered show, or any other white sitcom - especially if they are sophisticated like on the characters of GF's. They will show a white male doing that but NEVER a white female.

I'm not your fukking sweetie dikk... there is absolutely nothing that we have gone through...

You are just a passive aggressive bytch... grow up and stop sucking the nuts of lunatics who lie
It's refreshing to hear that a man wants to get to know a Black woman through dating... Especially from a man on this site...

To be honest, though; I wish it was from the brothers...

Real talk...

ok honey bun :mjlol:

didn't Earn's girl go on a date with some other dude and he had the nerve to make passive aggressive remarks on behalf of his daughter?
