Contractually they had to credit him because he helped Issa develop it but the original premise for the series was as a workplace comedy. When they decided to focus more on Issa as a black woman and added Molly and her other friends thats when Wilmore dropped out

OK I thought it was the other way where he helped develop it from the workplace sitcom to expanding to her life

Just finished watching it and you could tell how much love the cast and crew had for each other

I was late to this series and only started watching because of my girl, but I have to say it was really well done and they did a great job on the finale episode showing how relationships really go as an adult.

@Neo The Resurrected ONE it’s only like 28 minute episodes so it’s easy to binge. Just start off binging the 1st season I promised you’ll be hooked.

Looking back I wish they would have included more looks at Issa family this season.
