They're way too heavy-handed and nitpicky in wanting you to say things in exactly a certain way when apologizing: I saw this first hand when that Friends actress lady tried to get Jamie Foxx canceled for antisemitism. It was kinda surreal--Nick Cannon, Kanye, etc forced people to just started protesting this in defiance.

With this crisis you're seeing the scenario play out--a lot of the support Palestine is getting is just some people being defiant and tired of walking on eggshells. That era of not even saying a word of criticism about Jews is gone-- a lot of the generation close to those events are gone as well.
