I think the only solution is a two state compromise and treat Israel acts like a legit act of war. Right now this is the equivalent of if F-16s flew over an Indian reservation and blew everyone to hell.

War is ugly. Taking sides in this is honestly an exercise in futility. It’s impossible to be fully behind one or the other while also trying to say you care about the casualties or “innocents” on either side.

The fact is, there are no innocents. At least, not in the sense that you can parse them out and keep safe. I’m sure there were some upstanding members of the Army and the fledgling USA as the country slaughtered natives and slaves.

So I can’t stand seeing impassioned diatribes for either side about how they must wage their war. They are doing it the way they know how. Say a prayer and sit back and enjoy American foreign policy keeping that part of the world a powderkeg while we are safe and protected by two massive oceans.
