NO DANNY! Don't do it....

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical Podcast with Woj:
I think the Clippers may think this too, and certainly some other teams. Boston is really the danger for Blake Griffin.

I think Boston’s two primary free-agent targets right now are Gordon Hayward and Blake Griffin. Now they’re not going to get both of them, but they’re both players who would potentially have interest there and who Boston I think looks at in different ways with their future.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I'm not opposed to Blake on a 3 year deal with an option if we can't get Hayward because we lose that cap space after this season... Blake if healthy is a better player than Hayward and a better fit. It's not terrible

I guess if there was a number 3 on our list it'd be noel but you'd have to think Dallas matches anything

On the most recent Vertical Podcast with Woj, Adrian Wojnarowski talked with NBA front office insider Bobby Marks. They discuss a number of topics, but the one that should raise eyebrows for Celtics fans was Blake Griffin. Woj, who is as tapped in as anyone in the history of NBA media, mentioned the Celtics will consider signing Griffin when he’s a free agent this summer. That part isn’t really news. What should get fans excited was this line: “Blake Griffin was there when Paul Piece came in for his last game with the Clippers. He saw how Boston reacted to Paul Pierce and what it means to have been a great player in Boston. It did not go unnoticed with him (Griffin) about how that building loved Paul. They (the Celtics) are certainly a threat in this (signing Griffin).

...

One prominent free agent from the Western Conference said: “I only get to play there once a year, but you can feel it. The fans are crazy. Even when they were bad, those fans were there. When we were bad, our building was silent. And we all saw the way they sent off Paul. It was amazing. Cheering an opposing player like that doesn’t happen anywhere else.

...

Another veteran free agent from the Eastern Conference said: “It wasn’t just the sendoff for the Truth. Those fans were chanting like crazy at the end of Game 5 when the team was getting killed by Cleveland. There are other great fans, but none are better than Boston. And that matters. I remember playing them in the playoffs when they had Paul, KG (Kevin Garnett) and Ray (Allen) and we had to scream during huddles to hear each other. That is during huddles when the crowd usually quiets down. As a player, you can use that lift. Those fans matter.

:patrice:I'm not buying this dude's reasoning for not liking Markelle. Markelle always has the serious sleepy look even when he's joking around. The guy who made the video is prolly a Teabow fan cuz he "has the look" of a team leader. I'm hearing rumors of us getting Jackson. During the season I really liked Jackson, but he's another dude who's super athletic but doesn't shoot the ball that great. Markelle just looks like a natural basketball player with his smoothness and shooting ability.

Whoever we get I just hope turns out to be the best player of this draft for their career. I don't want to be the Blazers with Sam Bowie.

:martin: WTF is going on? Trade down for future picks? I anticipate the sixers and lakers to be better next year so those picks will fall in the late lottery-early to mid teens. I'll be pissed if Markelle is in our division for the next 12 years busting our ass every time he plays us. fukk trading for Saric and Okafor also.

Maybe Ainge doesn't believe Markelle will be a threat.

We about to draft another nikka that can't shoot.

Or maybe flip it for Butler

Idk but this is exactly what I was talking about when I said Ainge's unpredictability makes this offseason exciting and scary :francis:
