Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I did not like the pick, am still not convinced he was the best player on the board but he's grown on me a lot. I'm not ready to anoint him as a future star as some in the fanbase have, but I definitely think he can be a very good starter

I didn't like the pick either, and I posted about him & Josh Jackson 3 years ago. He has a very good handle for his size though and shows flashes of his jumper, so that is a great starting point for someone as athletic as him.

Crowder was one of the best players this series. Not his fault he had to guard the best player in the league. Yet he was still able to score on the offensive end.

Brad been making him earn his minutes with defense. Gonna try to mold him into kawhi 2.0

Save Buddy Ingram (and Simmons who obviously didn't play this season), I think Jaylen was the best player to go in the top 5 of that draft based on this season's performance.

And he definitely landed in an awkward situation seeing as Boston was "competing" as a top team in the East and, thus, couldn't afford him as many minutes as other rookies.

Well Dunn was god-awful and Bender was always going to be a project regardless of what team he ended up on, plus it didn't help that he missed a lot of time due to injury.

At the time of the draft in terms of who I wanted most it was Chriss > Murray/Dunn > Brown/Bender > Hield

So for summer league we're gonna have Brown (Will likely get games off like Rozier did last year), Fultz, Zizic, Jackson, Nader, 2nd round pick(s) if we keep them, Thornton? Mickey?

WALTHAM -- After getting bludgeoned by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, Isaiah Thomas realizes the Boston Celtics need more talent -- and he won't be upset if the pursuit of a roster upgrade keeps him from receiving a contract extension this summer.

Though Thomas is eligible for an extension this offseason, which could come with a pay raise for next year, the Celtics can only offer one if they stay under the salary cap. Realistically, they would prefer not to. They have made no secret of their plans to pursue another star, and are expected to chase free agent Gordon Hayward.

For Thomas, that represents a win-lose. He acknowledges his team needs to improve, but an agreement to use the financial flexibility on someone else would kill his hopes of a short-term pay raise.

Thankfully for the Celtics, the star seems to understand the situation. His payday is more likely to come next summer, when he will hit unrestricted free agency.

"(An extension) means more money? Yeah, I would love that," he smiled Friday before an exit interview with the Celtics front office. "But if it don't happen, I'm the last person to be bothered by that. I know everything happens for a reason, so when my time comes, I know it will come and I'll be - God will bless me."

After making second team All-NBA, Thomas' contract is actually set to decrease in its final year. His $6.26 million, which will count as one of the league's best bargains, is similar to what Boston will pay the top overall pick during his rookie season.

Thomas might resent his current contract, which drastically underpays him, but realizes he's set to cash in next summer regardless.

"That time will come," he said. "Whatever happens, happens. I've proved myself. The world knows what I bring to the table and I can't do anything to control anything else. So whatever happens this summer with contracts, it happens. If not then we'll wait until next summer and then we'll see where we go."

Thomas added: "We need the best possible player that's gonna help us win, and I'm with that. Anything Danny and this organization need me to do to help bring even more talent to this city, I'm all for that. I want to win a championship, and being so close to getting to the finals, that makes you want it that much more. I'm all help if they need it. I'll be around.

"We definitely need more. It was obvious. But shoot, the No. 1 seed and getting to the Eastern Conference Finals, like, we had a pretty good year. But to take that next step, which is the Finals, and to do whatever we can to beat Cleveland, we definitely need more. So I don't know what those guys are going to do with this team but I would love to see everybody back and add a piece or more."

He ain't going anywhere.

All the arguments about him killing our defense were stupid when we gave up 75 in a half and 136 total to Cleveland.

Reading between the lines tho, it seems like there's a chance Dancing Bear might not be on the roster this year.

Uncertain grounds
He was very good in summer league and arguably was the best player in the entire d league last season. Cheap bench filler probably on a 2 way contract

He looked good in D-League and summer league, but Mickey should be a case study on why not to look too deeply into it.

Yeah summer league means next to nothing. Hes an end of the bench guy at best. Sorry but those guys dont interest me. At least gerald could get you buckets at a vet min. Nader has no plus skills.
