Bro that had nothing to do with hindsight. THIS exact position is where some of us said we would be 2 years ago. No picks, no prospects, no cap. It was crystal clear.A lot of this is easy to say in hindsight. Dragic was bought here to play with Wade and Bosh, we never saw it. It's no fault of the organization that Bosh had a health issue, obviously that core would have been able to make some noise in the playoffs. I can appreciate the moves to try to stay competitive. What kind of send off would that have been for Wade to max him out and play his final years on tanking teams just because LeBron left? They rebuilt as quick as they could with Bosh and signing Deng, and the Dragic trade..then Bosh got hurt it didnt work. We were a game away from the ECF, tried to get KD that summer, didnt work. They have to disregard what fans want because fans dont know, and they damn sure dont evaluate talent. Case in point @Freddie.Cane and I were the only ones beating down the door for Donovan Mitchell going up to the draft, look at last years offseason thread and see who these guys crying about tanking were ready to fall on the sword for.
edit: forgot @Armchair Militant was leading the Mitchell wagon too
So is this saying the team scored an average of 22 points per 3rd quarter and that only the kings were worse coming out of the half? I feel like it’s relevant to mention I looked at our game log today and counting the playoffs, there were 29 different games this year where we lost at least one quarter in the second half by 9 or more. I think it was 2014-15 where the team averaged 19 points per third quarter.
How well did that translate to his shooting and FT shooting now? Lots of decent to good looking 3 point shooters in college don't pan out as good three point shooters in the NBA.
How you gonna shyt on OG when he's pretty much a bigger Winslow with less playmaking but more defensive potential?
OG was looking legit before his injury. I still wouldn't take him over Mitchell but I can easily see why he'd be great pick for us. All that being said, I'd take this nikka over him.
-That ballhandling and vision
-that shooting stroke and quick release
-Defensive versatility
-Dude looks just like JJ to me
Getting Mitchell and a guy like Burton or Thornwell would be PERFECT for us

you didnt answer the question. What send off would that have been for Wade if we had maxed him and tanked for those two years? I blame Hinkie for making this goofy ass "tanking" shyt fashionable. If you're a bad team you're just a bad team. That team last year obviously underachieved out of the gate and progressed to the mean as we see with the end result this year. They were never top 5 bad, if you thought they would sustain that its your fault.@Primetime21
All of the shyt he was saying, I said right when it happened. The minute Bron left, I said let Bosh walk and tank for two years. Never was a fan of the Dragic trade, me and @jaguar paw were arguing with @Malta with it on how it’s a bad idea to mortgage the future just to make the playoffs.
Say what you want about the tank crowd being Chicken George ass dudes, but we’ve been consistent with our opinions and so far right.

People really expecting miracles out here.
Whiteside / 28 years old / 2 years 52 million dollars / PLAYER OPTION ON LAST YEAR
Dragic / 31 years old / 2 years 37 Million Dollars / PLAYER OPTION ON LAST YEAR
TJ / 25 years old / 2 years 38 million / Player option on last year
JJ / 31 years old / 2 years 29 million dollars
Dion / 25 years old / 3 years 35 million dollars / Coming back from season ending injury
Look at those ages, length of the contracts, and tell me how you'd move them and why a team would WILLINGLY trade for them and what you'd be giving up to actually move them because teams are gonna want picks or good young players to attach to them.
at paying flabmelo hamthony that much after this past seasonMaybe OKC wants to get rid of Melo's contract since he's obviously not declining that player option for 27 mill next year.
