Philly has a top ten pick this year and cap space to sign a max player :scust:

Lawd, we got 3 championships in my lifetime and a repeat so I need to stop being greedy but :mjcry:

They could make a pitch at KD right now and br the best team in the league instantly and then draft a top ten pick to add to that

Like I posted in the other thread:

Part of why Philly is when they're at is luck and timing. When you become tankwave you gotta go through years of hardships to MAYBE draft the next perennial franchise cornerstone. What happened to Philly doesn't just happen by purposfully sucking for a few years. You could just as much tank and string together a bunch of busted or underachieving high draft picks put yourself in another 5yr hole of no playoff appearances. If we're gonna blow it up, we gotta go about it intelligently. And if we're willing to blow it up, fans gotta be patient and willing to deal with abyssmal years and be patient with our young developing players. Philly had some REALLY bad years before they got to this point and basically got lucky with the timing and who got lucky with who declared for the Draft. Players like Simmons and Embiid don't just fall out of the sky and reward your team for sucking. The stars aligned for Philly ALONG with thesucking/tanking. Are Heat fans really about tankwave? Are we really about that not complaining when we get blown out by the Knicks, Nets, and Hawks 3 nights in a row life? If so, than full speed ahead of tankwave and I can only hope we hit half the homerun Philly did in their draft picks.

:salute:

if you're worried about wade retiring then you should also be worried about riley calling it quits, i'm sure he sees the messy cap situation we're in and at his age he may not have the energy to want to fix it

Quote the post if we get something of value back. :mjlol:

You don't get no plus points if we get a bunch of trash and have to give up actual young assets to move him.

I said that no one is taking Whiteside's max contract and not getting young talent or unloading trash players to make the salaries match

But no suggestions, Mr. GM?
You said nobody is taking him period. So when he gets dealt ill quote the post Darius, you dont get to put stipulations on it after you made that silly ass claim

I'm just tired of us never having draft picks. Nobody ain't trying to trade for any of these dudes with these contracts

Riley bout to win executive of the year with the fleecing and finessing he about to pull to get rid of these contracts

Miami’s salary situation is :damn:

I'm looking at ESPN trade machine and can't justify anything lol. don't know where to begin

:mjcry:

Get used to this guys.

I’m really looking forward to that exit interview, that’ll probably tell us everything about what direction the franchise is going.

People really expecting miracles out here.

Whiteside / 28 years old / 2 years 52 million dollars / PLAYER OPTION ON LAST YEAR

Dragic / 31 years old / 2 years 37 Million Dollars / PLAYER OPTION ON LAST YEAR

TJ / 25 years old / 2 years 38 million / Player option on last year

JJ / 31 years old / 2 years 29 million dollars

Dion / 25 years old / 3 years 35 million dollars / Coming back from season ending injury

Look at those ages, length of the contracts, and tell me how you'd move them and why a team would WILLINGLY trade for them and what you'd be giving up to actually move them because teams are gonna want picks or good young players to attach to them.

I mean being the 6-8 seed isn't the worst thing in the world for the next few years. After that tho, time to start over and hopefully draft an allstar caliber player with the likes of winslow and bam as the core of the team.

That’s the worst thing you can be in basketball. A team with no developing star and a first or second round exit as your ceiling. In that situation there isn’t any reason to be excited. Winslow and bam as your core means 20-25 wins on a season.
