@humminbird did you like the Hercules movie he was in?
I mean it's pretty simple. Too much bad press and box office tanks got him crawling back to Vin Diesel to leech onto a multibillion dollar franchise. Like I said years ago The Rock just isn't a big enough star to lead his own franchise. He gets paid due to his production company doing partnerships with studios but The Black Adam debacle with him taking over and the production company going over budget, trying to strong arm DC left a really bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. It didnt bring back the money they wanted and the James Gunn reset pretty much let him know your production company partnership days are numbered in Hollywood. Hope it works out for him.@PAWG Life

What do you think is going on? I think with the Black Adam debacle it sort of humbled Dwayne Johnson. Wish he could of had classics like Arnold Schwarzenegger
@Monoblock
I don't know! Is he really in trouble? Doesn't he own the XFL now?@PAWG Life

Black Adam was a huge flop. Huuuge. He thought it was going to be a franchise. Probably didn't have a whole lot lined up after that, or lost a few roles.Dude is doing interviews with people he would’ve never done them with before. Also he was adamant about never working with Vin diesel and Tyrese again but he signed back up for fast and furious? Has he toned down his arrogance?

I always forget Pain and Gain. yeah that's really good.I liked the first Jumanji, Pain & Gain and San Andreas as well as his contributions to the Fast series.

The rock treating Hollywood like it’s wrestling. You can’t just challenge an actor for the franchise and call it a day.Hollywood Execs finally realized Dwayne is a fukking flop artist and they don't need to run him bags and cower to his demands anymore

The Rock trying to make a power play like that in his 50’s doesn’t make sense. Not saying it’s over for him but his best Action packed roles are definitely behind him, he would’ve had to try and pull this years ago.
Y'all talking bout him like he's Steven Seagal
Solo projects his numbers are horrible and he had to realized he need two or 3 other good actors on the screen to get numbers
It’s like do u want to hear 12 songs with just Dr Dre rapping on it? Or u need to have snoop, kurupt, game, Kendrick on it as well to really go out and buy it
coli "hot take"
you have 70 and 80 year old denzel, liam neeson, colin firth etc running around - actors who only started being action heroes in their 50's.
60 year old tom cruise still doing it.
the expendables - average age around 70
donnie yen and keanu reeves tearing up the screen in john wick 4 .. john wick 5 coming soon ..
with camera work and CGI these guys can do action as long as they look the part.
the rock has a big frame. he can do action even after he loses muscle.
55 year old denzel
