Is there any one super hero more popular than Spider-Man at this point?

I mean that X-men were more popular than the avengers. From 80’s since the Chris Claremont run. Some of the individual avengers were popular due to tv and movies but as a whole they weren’t fukking with X-men from like 81 until the early 00’s when Civil War took place in the comics.

The x-men are still more popular in comics, they just don’t have big movie tie ins right now
It was Spider Man and the Hulk at first..then 1975 with Claremont changed everything. The X Men became a force of nature..sales..eventually Video games...the shows...the movies. Left the Avengers, FF in the dust..like the Infinity Gauntlet story was great but the Age of Apocalypse was absolutely legendary...Fatal Attractions when Magneto ripped Wolverine and Cable apart was huge....

Ironman himself was almost a non-entity when his movie came out, outside of a handful of games and the short lived cartoon

Oh word. My bad. You right.

And now he's easily surpassed them all...
lol.....he got the MCU boost, not the other way around. A tom holland spiderman in some bum ass sony-verse would be laughable. :pachaha: Go look at them Into-The-Spiderverse numbers for a ballpark figure of what that shyt would do.

Nope. That's an animated joint and it was highly profitable for them and won an Oscar and they immediately greenlit a part 2.

Venom is a Spider-Man side character and did $900M at the box office with mixed reviews.

Spider-Man is the draw at Marvel. Always has been.

The 2002 movie did $114M opening.. adjusted for inflation that movie was bigger than almost any CBM ever..

regardless, Spiderman got the MCU boost, not the other way around. like i said before, spiderman was shoehorned into the MCU and 99% of the stuff he's done in the MCU has been damn near outside of the other MCU shyt. They didn't even have permission to use dude after the MCU was up and rolling and Sony wanted a piece of that MCU money and fame. :pachaha:

Never crossed that billi until the MCU. Even with that so-called "best superhero movie ever". :skip:
