That’s not what I asked. It’s easily available in retail in most European countries. I just checked Amazon UK, which is Microsoft’s second biggest market and its in stock right now on prime and you can get it next day.

I’m not saying the demand for the X and S is anywhere near the same. I’m not even saying the S is a good idea. I’m saying calling the product a failure based on the fact that it’s available in some regions is laughable. The point is is that it’s not really selling globally you can go on other forums and see people from the UK and other countries say they see them for sale everywhere. What you’re arguing is pointless because even you, yourself know that Microsoft doesn’t publish their console numbers.
All you gotta do is look around, the series S is on ebay and stockx for like 50 dollars over retail. It doesn’t take much to see they aren’t in high demand. People aren’t even making a profit off them

I mean the first post of this thread suggest that because the X is sold out and the S can be found in some places it's a failure. It being a real failure is more like we made 500 of them we expected to sell through at least 400 and we sold 150.I don’t think anyone is calling it a failure based on that alone but maybe I misinterpreted a post?
Do you have any actual numbers for any of this? What was the allocation sent to those other countries? What numbers are typical for those markets? What are the shipped numbers in the US? What's the split of X vs S?
So it still gets 60fps but just not 4K correct?
Nothing you're saying indicates the product is a failure. You're basically standing outside the house telling people about how the family lives from a few peeks in the window. We are at the moment where demand for PS5 and Series X are so high that they’re selling out in seconds worldwide meanwhile the Series S is still widely available but its definetely not a failure. If it’s not selling out when demand is sky high, what makes you think it’ll sell when supply finally meets demand?
Wow. Feedback from an actual owner. Nicei enjoy my series s
i travel a lot for work, its real convenient (and less expensive, i could keep it in my carryon as opposed to checked luggage) to have a smaller machine i could bring with me for the times when i have some leisure as opposed to a bigass p5, i keep that at the crib
i cant imagine being satisfied if it was the only way i had to play but it serves its purpose for me
S is nice. Ignore these fukk nikkasWhat exactly cant the S do the X can. I know about 4k and less space what else? I probably shoulda researched but I just copped when I had the chance
Cause I got and S, yall making me feel shytty. I dont mind upgrading in a cpl years tho, no time soon
That bytch is quiet tho and small as shyt, put that bytch in a cargo pocket and go
If you have a Series S you aren’t simply running games at the same quality as the X with a lower resolution. The new Resident Evil maxed out with ray tracing has frame rate issues on Series S that even VRR can’t fix right. Also for some games 60FPS is a no go.The big three key specs differences between the two is :
- Blu-ray Player
- Storage Size (XSX 1TB)(XSS 512 GB)
- XSX renders 4k 60FPS vs XSS 1440p 60FPS
Microsoft is targeting two different audiences with the two consoles.
More affordable consoles that has next-gen capabilities/smaller(less noticeable)
vs
The more expensive powerful console that offers the best of everything that the XSS offers/bigger
At the end of the day we're given more options than what we had last gen and the gen before that. I don't remember having this back than.
