The thing is even though they might eventually sell out at some places, they will pop up again sooner than later and stay in stock for hours. Unlike the series x and ps5 that disappear in seconds.
Series S in comparison is about as hard to get as a switch

What current gen games? The only thing the S can do that the One x can’t do is play the Medium
Ya, i had one in my cart a couple of months ago at Best Buy but was on the fence. Took a week before it was sold out again. Thought about gettin it as a travel box since im vaccinated n about to travel again but decided not to.
i would have rather they made a discless 400 dollar X instead of one with worse specs. It gets really weird when you compare it to the One X too. Apparently it can do things the S cant?

I think most people are just gonna get a switch if they want an actual travel gaming system

The big three key specs differences between the two is :
- Blu-ray Player
- Storage Size (XSX 1TB)(XSS 512 GB)
- XSX renders 4k 60FPS vs XSS 1440p 60FPS
Microsoft is targeting two different audiences with the two consoles.
More affordable consoles that has next-gen capabilities/smaller(less noticeable)
vs
The more expensive powerful console that offers the best of everything that the XSS offers/bigger
At the end of the day we're given more options than what we had last gen and the gen before that. I don't remember having this back than.
I got the s and I love it. Added a 1tb external ssd hd. Got cheap gamepass codes on eneba subscription till next year. Gamepass makes this console worth it
Some folks hate the idea that they’re not the target demo for a specific product and get all elitist about it.

You may not know this but there are other countries besides America and in those countries like Spain and Germany the series has already had 20% off sales not even a year after launch. And being sold out in the US when they are barely shipping any doesn't say much. The new Xboxes are selling worse than the XB1 right now.
Do you have any actual numbers for any of this? What was the allocation sent to those other countries? What numbers are typical for those markets? What are the shipped numbers in the US? What's the split of X vs S?
It’s easily available in retail in most European countries. I just checked Amazon UK, which is Microsoft’s second biggest market and its in stock right now on prime and you can get it next day.
