Seems like it's been happening for a couple of years, but it seems like it has spiked and become for blatant in maybe the last 2-3 years. Like, EVERY commercial in interracial, there's even one that had a black woman stud with a white girlfriend with kids that look vaguely mixed they don't even try

Look at the chart closely. If you look at it, which nonwhite groups have higher IR rates? Are they being reflected in the media? Nope. Now look at the nonwhite group with the lowest IR rate. And ask yourself why are they only focused on that group?I'm glad you posted this.
So with these IR unions betwen Black Men and other races of women...why is that not represented in the media if it reflects reality?

Simply put, White Men and men of other races do not like seeing us with their women.
But they do like seeing themselves in dominant positions with Black women.
Because if they aren't dominant over you...they can't coexist with you.
Clearly to get that rate up. It’s much easier for whites actually when they have more assimilation and IR relationships in a society. Why? Blacks who marry out tend to more or less soften to race issues on some “well my partner isn’t bad”. It’s a much easier controllable society when you have groups softening their outlooks on whites. Bw have been more outspoken/vocal, more political (look at the role we played in the last election) and yet we are women and wm know they have failed to completely dominate us like they have other groups.
They are trying to increase bw/wm relationships that’s why it’s being pushed the way it is. The truth is that more strong black families/households is more of an issue to them than swirling—swirling/pawging is a successful tool for dominating their enemies and continuing to maintain power and control. Why else do they push celebs and entertainers who have wealth in the white direction. It’s a benefit to them. Sadly up until recently they had more success pushing WW on Brehs(hell it was a joke in undercover brother lol) then they had on getting bw.
Hence this overdrive lately, especially as their population decreases. What isn’t being talked about is that a lot of white couples are having fertility issues too. Biracial babies are how they’re going to keep their population growing. But swirlset and pawgset are too stupid to see how they’re breeding themselves out and adding to white numbers. But I digress.

Yeah, tv commercials pretty much suck in this new world.
You see I can't watch shows like that. I don't want to see white people on my TV at all. I live in white ass Denver in super white ass Colorado so I see white people EVERYWHERE.Facts, this is all over tv nowadays. Case in point, I'm a fan of the show Ozark like everyone else I guess but this black female FBI agent -where's the father to her kid at? And of course the one black male FBI agent was gay
when I go back to my apartment where I live alone, that's the last place I want to see them. Add the fact that the average white person doesn't even interact with Black people on a regular basis, it's no secret that the black image on TV is like this.

This thread was actually the result of me doing an experiment where I substituted Black content creators on Youtube for my TV/media watching. For a whole year.
It makes a HUGE difference seeing people who look like you 24/7/365 a year on TV. And that's just TV. Imagine if it was Movies and other forms of media.
Black people in general don't know what that's like...White people do.
That's why I try to present the idea of "seeing yourself" in the media...and what that does to the mind when it comes to growth and development.

I disagree to an extent. A lot of "raised right" Black boys and girls are hella off code these days. I think this is an issue of consciousness and cohesion more than education.
Let's be honest, if Black men and women became equalized in educational attainment, would this shyt stop?

I'm gonna disagree with this post. Not with its content, but its perspective. The question here is, "Is SOCIETY promoting bw and leaving bm behind?" You responded to a different question.
Im still curious to know if you agree that SOCIETY is giving us a bit of a boost rn. Bc it's super obvious. My mother was in store at Macy's recently and the cashier, a fellow older bw, gave her the little spiel about the charities she could donate her change to. The only black one was explicitly for black girls. Moms, aqua down to her bones
, asked why there were no bm focused charities. The cashier got offended, ppl were staring, it became a thing.
If that's not a societal, institutional boost, I dont know what is.
I went to Walmart and Target looking for books for my kids (I have a boy and girl) and I was shocked at how many Black oriented books are explicitly targeted at Black girls to the exclusion of Black boys. Like 80% of the Black books were Black girl targeted.
Luckily I have other info and found out about writers like Walter Dean Myers and the Clubhouse Mystery series that focus on Black boys. Interestingly the Clubhouse Mysteries book about four Black kids solving mysteries was written by a Black woman but of course she's old school Boomer.
