It's not about need. I don't think Banchero is the best of the three (or four even with Ivey), but if I drafted Holmgren and my team will still have the worst offense, how am I gonna know if my team is improving? Hammond needed to come to the conclusion that Giannis only happens once in a lifetime, not once a year. By drafting someone who could very well be the best scorer on their core, that helps everyone else out.

If the issue is that you don't think Banchero will be that good, I can understand that part.

Suggs was supposed to be that guy, but coming off ankle surgery I dont know....considering he had a pretty meh season. And on top of that Anthony seems like he may have the intangibles to be a better leader.

Then you got Markelle Fultz who somehow finessed a 3 year 50M extension.

Wagner should be a fixture. Bamba I think they are underrating and should pair well with Banchero but they will never unlock his true potential so to speak so he'll become Myles Turner 2.0.

Suggs is not that dude, he is a bust, Raptors passed on him for a reason(because his jumpshot is broken) Suggs is a good defender, with no jumpshot, I can't see him as a starting PG on a winning team, but he will start since he was the 5th pick of the draft. If Paolo is your guy you need to start putting shooters and good defenders around him.

Randle at his absolute best was last year 25/11/5 i dont think banchero gets there....i like the David Lee comp a decent scorer with limited range who will score on mismatches,bad defender but wont be the m ain guy on an elite team...when you think about thats a perfect comp...
