Is Paolo Banchero good enough to dig the Magic out the grave?

I see him basically becoming what the Magic hoped Aaron Gordon would've been - a multi-tool point-forward, who's a jack of all trades (and a master of none). Which is why I'm surprised at all this talk of how high his ceiling is, because I don't see it. He doesn't have the athleticism and/or natural shooting touch to really be at that superstar level.

It's funny because, watching his tape more in-depth, I couldn't help but get Julius Randle vibes from his play, except in this case, Banchero is actually the version of how Julius thinks he plays. Banchero is to Julius is as LaMelo is to MCW (I remember this comparison popping up often at the time) - the Basketball Gods fukked it up on the first try, but got it right on the second.
He's 18, I don't know too many 18 years olds who are locks for superstardom. The last prospect we got that was elite offensively coming in was Melo but even then, that was exclusively for scoring in a weaker NBA. Edit: Luka but he didn't play in the American system and was already a pro.

Banchero was the right pick because they don't have a bad defense. They can't score. If the success of my team is predicated on Cole Anthony scoring 25 a night, I don't get it. They have defenders and lanky players (and Coli favorite Bol Bol). They need a bucket getter.

You should never pick for immediate need with the 1st overrall pick, you pick the guy you think is gonna be the best player...and thats not Banchero.

It's not about need. I don't think Banchero is the best of the three (or four even with Ivey), but if I drafted Holmgren and my team will still have the worst offense, how am I gonna know if my team is improving? Hammond needed to come to the conclusion that Giannis only happens once in a lifetime, not once a year. By drafting someone who could very well be the best scorer on their core, that helps everyone else out.

If the issue is that you don't think Banchero will be that good, I can understand that part.

I was gonna say the Magic done fukked up not taking Jabari Smith, but then I realized that the Magic don’t care tbh. They don’t care about winning. Jabari Smith is who they needed.

We haven't had someone that can score with the ball in their hands at will. Banchero can.

PG: Cole Anthony - Markelle Fultz
SG: Jalen Suggs - RJ Hampton
SF: Franz Wagner - MAGA Isaac
PF: Paolo Banchero - Chuma Okeke
C: Wendell Carter Jr. - Robin Lopez (If we don't bring Mo Bamba back)

Flip Terrence Ross for extra cap space.

Team salary is $84,821,918 for the 22-23 season. The caps set at $122m and the luxury doesn't kick in till $149m.

I know it wont happen, but man.. if we can bring in a Zach Lavine. Throw his ass the max. That would put Suggs at the point with Levine at the 2. Cole can back up Suggs. We could move on from Fultz.

Why you still a hoe after all these years? What bytch fukked you, broke your heart, and moved to Orlando?

quiestion....y is suggs not yall point instead of cole at the 2. isnt suggs a pure point in the j kidd mold supposedly? i didnt watch many magic games im just wondering what yall saw that put him as a 2 guard.

That would be a great player though?
Like if Banchero is a more consistent version of Randle then the Magic won cause Randle at his best is an All Star level player
