Yeah I know you’ve been one of the vocal Herbert critics.

I do think he’ll have an excellent season and move up the QB ranks in the coming years. At least he has some elite aspects to his game unlike Burrow.
they havent surrounded him with the best talent this year but if he can limit turnovers / dumb decisions the Chargers have a great enough D/good enough coach to do damage.

I saw a Dr. that specializes in sport injuries basically say he’ll be at best 80% throwing power for the rest of his career. He literally can’t produce as much force/velocity as he used to and will never be able to

I wouldn’t place my bets on him is all I’ll say :manny:

If this is true he is fukked. For his sake, I hope its not. Even the biggest arm QB couldnt withstand such a sudden drop off and he aint that. That said, did he explain why? I never really considered the impact of the wrist on throwing power.
And if Chase & Tee decide to Chunk em up:francis:

Definitely but Bengals fans are starting to get annoyed with his slow starts and constant injuries. Media will soon turn if he has another disappointing season

It’s over brehs (most likely)

They either become the greatest short pass and run team ever, or they start thinking about after Burrow ASAP

Burrow and Allen always get passes because they're who the media wants to be the face of the league not Patrick :mjpls:

Had Lamar not missed games late Bmore would've kept Burrow from doing anything in the playoffs. The Ravens had the division locked until he got hurt and they should have lost to Huntley in the playoffs if not for a bonehead play.

A healthy Lamar makes the Bengals a non factor. He's 8-2 against them.

Allen played the best game of his career and Mahomes still sent him home. He came up small at home last season. He's not it.

Stroud is the one who can go head to head with Mahomes. He's not going to make critical mistakes, be inaccurate, and they're loaded on offense.

Lamar could do it if he had help. Flowers alone isn't enough at WR. They have to make a major move for help because if they couldn't beat Rice, MVS, Watson, and Mecole they're not beating Rice, Hollywood, Worthy, and Juju.

People need to pump the brakes on Stroud. You’re knocking Allen for losing to the Super Bowl Champions, but saying Stroud has the best chance against Mahomes? No way.

Allen can make plays that Stroud will never be able to make. You need a QB like that, despite the turnovers here and there to beat Mahomes.

Allen has absolutely come up short, but to say Stroud has the best chance while he has only had a great rookie season doesn’t make much sense.

I dont know about overrated, but as the NFL is a what you have done lately league, his leash for avoiding criticism is extraordinary and unnaturally long :dame:

dude is always nursing an injury and he hasnt been playing very well lately for an elite, top 2-5 QB he's touted to be.

yeah you can say he needs weapons. but then the same folk who say he needs weapons to play well, rag on other QBs who do have weapons, for having weapons. it doesnt make a lot of sense. if hes elite, top 2-3 guy hes supposed to overcome the lack of weapons. if he needs weapons to perform well just like Tua/Goff/Purdy/Hurts, then why is he elevated above them ?

Nah Burrow is elite. My issue with Burrow is the double standard on health. When Lamar misses games it's because he's reckless, doesn't prepare, doesn't take care of his body, etc and thus cannot be considered great because he isn't reliable. Burrow been hurt every year after the SB and nobody says shyt. I don't even bring up the Lamar thing because I think he's great btw, I think Lamar is super overrated. I'm just saying that Lamar gets dinged for shyt that nobody brings up for Burrow. Or Herbert, who has missed games too and will likely miss games this year with the foot issue.

That is the best way of phrasing it.

When he's been healthy for 2 seasons he was a top 5 QB. I don't know who was comparing him to Maholmes in the media but it's their job to keep the conversation going. They've compared Josh, Lamar, Herbert, and now Stroud to Maholmes. And those dudes have not beaten Maholmes in the post season. At least Burrow has beaten Maholmes in the playoffs and overall is 3-1 against him.

But anyone who watches football knows that there's a huge gap between Maholmes and next tier of QBs.

Maybe overrated isn’t the best phrase, but it’s really the lack of criticism he receives compared to others.

Lamar stays healthy for the most part……Burrow doesn’t. Yet, people say Lamar is injury prone.

Overrated how? When he’s healthy we get to the AFC championship game. It’s some QBs that ain’t made it that far and it’s some QBs who ain’t made the Super Bowl. Playoffs that’s when it matters. I am tired of these slow starts and this cheap ass owner man. Down right terrible at times. No indoor practice facility gotta walk a damn mile cross a street to get to our practice field.
