Is Jayson Tatum really THAT much better than Jaylen Brown?

Didn’t answer the Question. What does Brown do better? Is he a better scorer? Better Passer? Better Rebounder? better defender?

31.2ppg 8.5rb and 4.3ast playing all nba type of defense at 24 for someone that’s “not him” …. I’ll take it.

Brown can create off the dribble

Tatum is a very good player he's just not HIM

Jaylen Brown is stronger, drives the ball better, and can absorb more contact while driving to the rim

But to say Jayson can't drive the ball at all makes you completely clueless. Jayson this season has more frequency of paint drives than Giannis this season, and has even increased his free throw attempts as well

Just admit you watch highlights of Jayson Tatum and maybe 5-6 national tv games on TNT/ESPN

They've both improved but Tatum is clearly better

Tatum is a top 3-5 player...has a case for mvp

Brown is a top 10-12 player

Cmon man

Attacking the basket is not his game. Thats not his bread and butter he wants to take 3s and yell "KOBE"!

He will never be the best player in the league

When I made the thread, I never said Tatum wasn’t better. The question is if he’s THAT much better. Jaylen Brown is averaging like 27ppg his damn self, and they barely mention him. Meanwhile Booker in Phoenix averages about the same amount of points, but he’s a SUPERSTAR.

I told you why already

All he does is shoot jumpers he doesn't overwhelm defenders by attacking and finishing around the basket

He's a jump shooter

I don't know how much clearer I can be

That's EXACTLY my point

The media and everyone in the NBA treat Tatum like he's Larry Bird and he's supposed to be CLEARLY better than Jaylen Brown and Brown has to take a backseat to Tatum

When I watch Tatum I don't see dominance

How hell do you say he's clearly better

That's all media narrative babble

Brown doesn't have a higher level he can tap into :manny:

Tatum's length & versatility gives him a decided advantage

Last postseason didn't settle who was better :snoop:

Stop playing favorites & watch the game objectively

The fact that Jaylen Brown can mix people and get to the basket and finish AND he can hit his jumper tells me he has another level to get to if given the opportunity

Whats Jayson Tatum higher level?

Oh his jumper is falling watch out!

Tatum will have these games where he'll have monster numbers but I just don't him being physically dominant and overwhelming people

He's a 6'10 SF that can score at all 3 levels and defend

Tatum is a better creator, shot blocker, rebounder, scorer...they're equal defenders but Tatum at 6'10 being able to defend 1-5 makes him more valuable

I like Brown but I never see him being a top 5 player like Tatum currently is

:mjlol: Saying JT can't "blow by defenders" and doesn't get to the rim is an all time awful take. Like, utterly preposterous
