It means you dont have to do any of that if you dont feel like it and you still gonna make more money than whoever the new hotness is.
That makes sense but even Prince popped out every so often when he was around

It's just strange how reclusive she is. She's also not that old either. She's 43 and still looks great

The Traps of Unified Korea

:dwillhuh: DIDNT TAYLOR SWIFT
SELL 2.6 MILLION IN THE FIRST WEEK?

The most pre-saved album of all-time by the biggest star in the world did a huge first week number - there's no way :whoo:

There's also no way she broke the first day and first week record for streams for an album but still has seen herself slide down the charts all year.

Almost as if millions of people listened to the record off of hype because it's readily available on streaming platforms, but have stopped listening to it because it's not that good.

Breh Prince went radio silent and didnt have a name for a few years there :russ:. And he wasnt even 40 yet.

Its only strange because we are in the Truman Show era were people stay in our faces non stop trying to obtain or maintain relevance. Her being the exception along with her established brand allows her to be one of the few current artists with mystique and actual aura.

Is Vegas a bit below Beyonce tho? I think her team is waiting until the absolute end to pull that lever.

She'd obviously become the biggest to ever to do that but it would also kind of kill her as an artist IMO

There is still a perception that Beyonce music is "culturally important". After a Vegas residency, you're kinda done creatively.

Seems like a better option for Katy Perry than Beyonce...

:dwillhuh: IT WAS THE FIRST FEMALE ALBUM
TO EVER SIT AT NUMBER 1 FOR ITS FIRST 12 WEEKS
AND OBVIOUSLY HER LONGEST CHART TOPPING
ALBUM EVER.

WHY DOUBLE DOWN ON STUPIDITY?

How many artists that were out in 1997 would you even think about saying this about? It would be a major look for pretty much all of them. That kinda proves the point about what she is doing and its effectiveness.

Toni Braxton was moving major units in the 90s. She was in Vegas 16 years ago.

Beyonce been overrated for decades. Cant force your music onto everyone forever. :yeshrug: lets keep it a buck. Both jay and her used each other to elevate their careers because they both were struggle artist around 2003. Her solo career wasnt a sure thing and jay was still suffering from being ethered. That crazy in love shyt worked out for both of them.

Eventually people are gonna get tired of her like alicia keys. She is a legacy artist at this point so she might as well take advantage of that like shes done to her writers and others that have helped her along the way with her narcissistic ass. Shes no diana ross, patti labelle, whitney houston, mariah carey and etc.

Now tell me how many versions she's put out :pachaha:
She's released THIRTY-FOUR variations of this album across all different media:comeon: If the same person streams it, buys the different cassettes, buys the different vinyls, what do you think that's doing for her Billboard album numbers? Think critically now.

The same people are engaging with this album over and over again. That trick works with the album chart but does nothing to mask what her actual streams are doing.

Hey feel free to disagree but I think Beyonce is in a much higher tier than Toni Braxton (who I love)

A lot of folks carry water for Beyonce and I respect it. She's a prominent AAA list black female artist and there aren't too many examples of that sadly. It does feel a bit cultish though, like any critique of hers is handwaved away. She moves funny and always has, even in the DC era

Even when Prince was quieter. This was a guy that wrote and produced all of his own music, and several others' as well. He had a wild stage presence, visual aesthetic, challenged norms and was outspoken about the industry. He definitely wasn't shilling for political parties and selling products. He had SLAVE written on his face...

What do we know about Beyonce really? Her music is paraded around the DNC and she's an auto-endorsement for any Democratic candidate. She also has no problem popping out for Levi's or Lancome or Pepsi, so it feels a bit strange that we protect her "aura and mystique" unless she's running offense for the Democratic party and various corps but not saying or doing anything else, shrug
