True but wrestling is different from pro sports. Pro sports if you don't take it seriously then you won't be successful at it. Wrestling is all about show and how you present yourself to the audience.

He tainted HBK’s first title reign by having it booked so that he didn’t lose in the 60 min the match was supposed to take place. All so he could say he technically didn’t lose.
Even had WM 9 booked as if Yoko who was more than twice his size needed outside interference to beat him.

Bret didn’t care bout the business anywhere near as much as he cared about being booked as the best. Someone who cares bout the business would have no problem putting other people over clean.
There is no wrestler in history that put less people over than Bret Hart. Y’all forget the whole reason the Montreal Screwjob happened in the first place was because of his refusal to put someone over. Someone who cared about the business would have done business. Why the hell would you expect to win a title match your last day in the company?
Try to find a video of Bret putting someone in WWF over clean that wasn’t in his family.
