Yeah... basketball HOF has all sorts okay players in it. It would be ludicrous not to have youngest MVP in it. Don't care for Rose and never have, but he's deserving based on prior admissions alone

The dikk riding of Rose on this site is insane to compare him to other HOF players like reggie, chris mullen, Yao. Yes Rose has an MVP and ROY but other than that he doesnt have much. 3 good seasons, 1 mvp and 1 all nba selection same yr and 3 all star appearances. In my opinion that isn’t enough. Career numbers he has less than 10k points, less than 3k assists, less than 500 steals, less than 2000 rebounds.

He was an HOF caliber player but unfortunately the injuries derailed him and the numbers just arent there.

Youngest MVP ever doesn’t transform him into a hall of famer though. There is something to be said about longevity. If we’re gonna put Rose in then put Penny Hardaway in too just off what he did in Orlando.

Penny was never an MVP. The positives outweigh the negatives for him to get in. So what if it was 8 seasons. He would eventually get in

96 penny was MVP worthy. He at least had 2 MVP calibur seasons and a few All Star ones.

If Rose get in then Brandon Roy and Penny gotta get in too

It really doesn’t. As I said, longevity counts for something. You’re judged by your body of work, not just one year. If all eight of those seasons were HOF worthy, maybe there’s an argument, but overall it just doesn’t add up.

every mvp goes to the hall of fame
That doesn't make it law though. The NBA has had an unprecedented stretch where the guys who have risen to the top and won MVP have also had long decorated HOF careers. The two weakest resumes for former MVP's are Bob McAdoo and Bill Walton, and both had other aspects of their career besides their NBA days that led to their HOF. Rose doesn't have that really.
