Is Derrick Henry the best RB you ever seen?

Emmitt was Emmitt in my Jr. High and High school years. Plus "dem boys" was dominating. Ppl downplay Emmitt by saying he played behind a elite offensive line. I say you don't become the all-time NFL leader in rushing yards only because of that. I watched every game and I know what I saw. I can honestly say I've seen more "electric " backs, even more dynamic backs (LT is my 2nd favorite RB), but Emmitt was and will always be my favorite running back ever.

Henry is an amazing RB…And as someone who watched all the great RBs from the early 2000s, Henry is right there man…

Payton is one of the guys I say is still ahead of Henry, one of the definitive 6 greatest backs ever as currently stands. The mf fumbled alot though, that's not shytting on him, it's a fact...

Still taking Barry and Adrian Peterson over Henry without hesitation.

He's definitely top 10 tho. Maybe creeping into that top 5.

That one Shaun Alexander year was a top 3 RB year I’ve seen for sure but Henry clears him easily

@murksiderock you still disrespecting LT, I see. Calling him Diet Faulk, when he is better than Faulk. RB is such a loaded positions, that its hard to narrow it.down. i put Jim Brown in the Babe Ruth category. My list.
1. Barry Sanders
2. Adrian Peterson
3. LaDainan Tomlinson
4. Walter Payton
5. Eric dikkerson
6. Emmitt Smith
7. Earl Campbell
8. Derrick Henry
9. O.J. Simpaon
10. Marshall Faulk
Henry still has some time to ascend, obviously.

I don’t want to knock Alexander and I’m not one of those people that has to bash a player to prop another one up. I agree his MVP season was sensational, especially statistically. But, I wouldn’t hesitate to take Henry over Alexander. I wouldn’t think twice.

I’d say Henry, Peterson, and Tomlinson are the three best I’ve seen since 2000. I feel like those should be the consensus top three during that time.

Faulk has some real shytty ypc seasons before he got to STL. He never sniffed a rushing title, never even hit 1500 yards rushing in a season. Great all around back, but he doesnt belong in the elite class,.in my opinion..Hes way closer to Thurman Thomas than he is to Sanders, Peterson and Payton.
