:russ:
Like you tryna have dialogue with Trump? Tough questions he says. nikka Trump ain't gonna appease you like these white liberals. His identity politics shtick is over. Like I tell my students, this is just another day in America, we will deal. Stop trying to appease those who deny your humanity. Deray and co need a new career.

Yeah, him and those likely are clearly jealous their spotlight has run out and these new politicians won't give them the time of day.

Thing is I can see Trump actually meeting with Black who are not c00ns the issue at hand is would those Blacks hold him to task or "take it there" with him and not play safe when it comes to discussing what needs to be done in this country.

Their whole identity politics schtick is over and they can't deal. They campaigned for HRC and she said they're the reason she lost lol.

Black Media? What Black media is he talking about? Aside from the white owned Black media we have at the moment, there ain't much independent black media out there doing it like that (Unless you guys know something I don't). And Trump doesn't have to do anything but do what plenty of Presidents have done before him......ignore the black masses. Dudes like Deray could give a single fukk about the black masses of the working class. He just wants to keep his name relevant.

Too many of these so called Black activist spend more time trying to appeal to power than resist it. They don't want black people to get their shyt together, because it would mean they'd be out of a job.

legit wouldnt be surprised if Deray put together some type of attack or fake attempt on his life to stay relevant.

These are race theory perpetual phD students. They aren't about shyt. They just want the Dr. next to their name so they can invoice for speeches on black spaces and whatever else language they use. It's not about changing things for them. It's not about the research, the academia, the breaking down barriers. It's about having a seat at the table and I'm sick of it. I'm 30 and the kids I interact with daily are growing up with this ideology and this language that says don't create your own power. Cry until you get a seat at the table. Appeal to the humanity if your oppressor. Trump is not like HRC, he's up front, he's not even going to humor them and act like he cares. That's how the liberals feel but they use Deray and co when they need them and they're complicit.

This is why it's so important to study the history of activism and the people who helped shape our movements and organizations. Many of them (Frantz Fanon, Kwame Ture, Ella Baker) predicted that there would be people who would use the miseducation of the black masses to profit off of their suffering while lulling them to sleep with promises of reform and change. The players have changed, but the game is the same.

The next 4 years are going to be difficult for people like him. There isn't a gonna be a huge market for a black social media activist commentator. And the white libs who used him to push a message will toss him aside in favor of courting working class whites.

Indeed. The bourgeois class of the BC is one of the biggest reasons why Dubois had to expand his talented 10th into the talented 100th. He saw that this class in particular did not care about the suffering of the black masses and only wanted to secure their own place in the system for themselves. This very same thing happened with the liberation movements in the French and spanish world. They used the Black intelligentsia to spread their message while they paid them handsomely for it at the expense of the poor and working class.

But these types are going to get a wakeup call when Obama leaves office. Expect alot of them to lose their jobs and security. There isn't a need to have a black person blackspaining anything when there isn't a black president anymore. You already see what they did to MHP.

All this sociology nonsense doesn't have any relevance when it comes to the black condition. We need to focus on sciences, math, physics, chemistry, biology etc. that's more deserving of commentary than critical race theory. It's very important to understand the universe, to teach our children the underlying mechanisms of neuroscience and what parts of the brain are associated with hatred, poor decision making, resilience, etc. How human beings are formed, the mechanisms of sex, pleasure etc. These things are important. This is what I study. Black kids have to know this stuff.

TBH I'm glad BLMs gravy train is coming to an end. We don't need it.

Africana studies and critical race theory has it's place in academia and the BC. The advancement of black thought and philosophy is critical to the ideological framework of organizing the black masses. But alot of it is purely philosophical and ideological in nature. But where it becomes worrisome is that it is not being used correctly to stir the black masses to organize and resist imperialism. And in too many cases Black academics worry more about publishing books, speaking engagements, and tenured positions than they do the people. They're used by the establishment as an intellectual buffer zone to confuse and wrongly sway the black masses to work against their interests. Adolph Reed wrote a great essay on this subject of the black intellectual betraying the masses.

While I do my fair share of going out and having a life, I'm always studying and working for the betterment of our community. That's why I was making threads on racial wealth disparity and housing to get people talking and being aware of how bad our condition truly is in this country.

BLM isn't going anywhere any time soon. I've seen alot of grass roots work being done around the name but with a more radical and clear focus. That to me is the good that it's done in mobilizing people to act. But it's hard to see at the moment where it's headed.

I think it's become comfortable like you said. Of course black studies is a necessary discipline but feminist theory, race theory, identity politics imo is not necessary. I could be wrong but it doesn't bring difference to the table, discourse is fine but there's no avant-garde. People are realizing that as well. The space for talking about safe spaces is gone. It's time to mobilize. Nobody's gonna listening to you crying outside.

The keyword in all of these disciplines is "Theory". Most of these areas of study are used more in ideological debates than they are anywhere else. When applied, only a chosen few benefit while most do not. The one thing I hope this Trump presidency does for black folk is wake them up to the economic nightmare they've been subjected too by black leadership. And by this awakening process we can begin to form solid strategies around tackling the issues that vastly effect us. The one thing I've seen too much from MSM activists is depending on non-black allyship at the expense of black self interests. I hope this attitude changes and we put our interests first and only align with communities with common interests that include us.
